Pat McGrath Love & LUST: Gloss Duo Review / Swatches

The Pat McGrath Love & LUST: Gloss Duo launched on Valentine’s Day, and I had to snap them up as I was placing an order on the website anyway, as they had a 25% discount across the whole website. I love the Pat McGrath lip gloss formula, so I knew I’d enjoy this set, and the packaging was just so cute!

I am gutted they didn’t launch this earlier than they have, as this would be the perfect Valentine’s Day present for any Pat McGrath fans. Although the Pat McGrath Love & LUST: Gloss Duo was exempt from the discount deal, they are only $25 / £20

Inside the Pat McGrath Love & LUST: Gloss Duo, you get two x 7.5ml lip gloss tubes in the following two pretty shades, which are both available as part of their permanent lip gloss collection – both of which are part of the permanent shade range;

  • Flesh Fantasy – lush pink beige
  • Flesh 6 – rich rose brown

I really like the heart shaped tubes of these glosses, but they’re not the most practical unfortunately. The little gold lids are tiny, which are super fiddly to hold, and they’re easy to drop.

Another issue we have, is that it is impossible to use more than half the gloss within the tube, as you can’t bend the applicator, so one half of the heart will contain gloss you can’t even reach.

Flesh Fantasy is a pretty peachy nude, and Flesh 6 is a rosy brown nude, and they both have a really nice sweet vanilla scent. They are quite sheer, but you can build up the colour with a couple of extra swipes.

I assumed the doefoot applicator would be longer, but it’s very short with zero flexibility. So whilst the Pat McGrath Love & LUST: Gloss Duo is very cute, and the glosses are comfortable to wear, I just don’t think it’s worth the price, as you can’t possibly use more than half of the gloss within the tube which is such a waste.

This Pat McGrath Love & LUST: Gloss Duo is limited edition, and is available right here.
