The Origins Ginzing Energy Boosting Gel Moisturizer is one of Origin’s bestselling products, and a product which is raved about by many in the beauty community. I’ve tried a few Origins products over the years, but never the Origins Ginzing Energy Boosting Gel Moisturizer.
At Christmas, Origins launched an Origins Skincare Superstars Set which features a number of their bestselling skincare gems, and I decided to pick it up as it offered amazing value for money, and also it contained products I’d been wanting to try.
“An energy-boosting gel moisturizer formulated to help wake up dull, tired & lackluster skin with 72-hour hydration. Oil-free & silicone-free.
Delivers 72-hours of oil-free hydration as it revs up skin’s natural radiance for a wide-awake look. Energy-boosting caffeine from Coffee & Ginseng help refresh & revitalize, while Hydra-Hug™ Technology helps lock in & maintain lasting, healthy moisture. Essential oil blend of Grapefruit, Lemon & Spearmint naturally invigorates the senses.“
The Origins Ginzing Energy Boosting Gel Moisturizer is £26 / $31 and contains 50ml / 1.7 fl.oz of product within an orange plastic jar, with a white plastic lid. The moisturiser is a pale yellow colour, with a gel cream consistency.
One of my favourite things about this moisturiser has to be the scent. All of the Origins Ginzing products have an orange scent to them, but the Origins Ginzing Energy Boosting Gel Moisturizer smells like chocolate orange to me. It smells delicious, and is so pleasant to smell whilst applying it on to the skin.
The Origins Ginzing Energy Boosting Gel Moisturizer is said to be suitable for normal, dry, oil, combination and sensitive skin types. I love how lightweight the formula is, and it feels cooling on the skin. I can imagine this being my go-to moisturiser over the hotter months, as it feels so lightweight.
Due to the oil-free formula, it never feels greasy or leaves any residue, but it still manages to offer a decent amount of hydration, and layers nicely underneath my makeup.
After enjoying this moisturiser so much, I’d very much now like to try the eye cream from the same range, as it’s such an enjoyable moisturiser to use, and I can’t get enough of the sweet chocolate orange scent either…
