The Origins Drink Up Nourishing Avocado Lip Butter launched back in May, and I knew it was something I needed to try as it sounded like such a lovely, nourishing lip balm.
Plus, it’s part of the Origins Drink Up collection, and the Drink Up Intensive Overnight Hydrating Mask is one of my all-time favourite masks, so I knew I was going to love this new lip treatment.

Origins Drink Up Nourishing Avocado Lip Butter
“This lip-quencher melts on contact to plump, smooth, and comfort lips with lush emollients like Apricot Oil, while it treats them lo a buffet of nourishing, conditioning plant butters such as Avocado Butter and Mango Seed Butter.
The 94% naturally-derived formula helps lock in moisture to prevent dehydration, keep lips cushiony-soft, and give them a delectable sheen.“
The Origins Drink Up Nourishing Avocado Lip Butter is £16.50 /$18, and the lip balm treatment contains 15g / 0.5 oz of product within a translucent lime green plastic jar with a white lid.
Origins describe their new lip butter as being a nutrient-rich smoothie of a lip balm, which is infused with 8 nourishing plant oils and butters, and is designed to be a 2-in-1 treatment and overnight lip mask all-in-one for soft, supple lips.
The Origins Drink Up Nourishing Avocado Lip Butter has a thin consistency, and it’s like butter in that it’s a solid balm within the jar, but on contact with the lips, it melts into a creamy balm.
It’s quite a thin balm, so it layers well under lipsticks without being greasy or oily. I don’t find the formula to be intensive enough to call it an overnight lip mask.
However, it provides light hydration making it perfect for every day, but it’s not the most nourishing lip balm I’ve tried, and I don’t think I’d repurchase it, as I personally much prefer the Nuxe Reve de Miel Lip Balm, which is much more nourishing and does offer lip mask benefits too.
