Ole Henriksen Dewtopia 20% Acid Night Treatment launched back in June, as the latest addition to the Transform skincare collection, and I couldn’t wait to give it a try, and it’s become my favourite Ole Henriksen product I’ve ever tried.
I’ve been a fan of the Ole Henriksen skincare range ever since I tried the Ole Henriksen Invigorating Night Creme back in 2015. So, I’m always excited whenever there’s a new addition to the brand’s award-winning skincare range.
The Ole Henriksen Dewtopia 20% Acid Night Treatment has launched as part of the brand’s Transform Collection, which is my favourite Ole Henriksen collection. In addition to Transform, there’s also Truth, Banana Bright, Balance and Transform Plus.
Transform is all about helping to reveal smoother skin, and this latest launch is a potent 20% acid night serum that smoothes skin texture, firms, improves elasticity & targets the look of dark spots, pores, fine lines & wrinkles, based on an 8-week clinical study on 36 women.
“Put uneven texture, dark spots, fine lines and wrinkles to bed: This 20% acid smoothing serum does the work while you sleep.
Packed with a powerful 20% acid blend (10% AHAs and 10% PHAs), this nightly retexturizing serum overhauls skin texture to reveal a significantly smoother, renewed, brighter complexion. And, it helps replenish skin with aloe juice, birch sap and cotton water.”
The Ole Henriksen Dewtopia 20% Acid Night Treatment is described as having a velvety, custard-like texture, which, in all honesty, weirded me out a little. I just didn’t like the idea of smearing a custard texture all over my face, but thankfully, it’s not custard-like in my opinion.
Instead, it’s more of a gel-cream with the most amazing lemon sugar scent. If you like the Soap & Glory Sugar Crush scent, or the Fresh Beauty Sugar Lemon scent, you’ll enjoy the scent of the Ole Henriksen Dewtopia 20% Acid Night Treatment.
Many skincare products with a high percentage of acids can carry an unpleasant chemical scent, but that’s not the case with this overnight treatment. It smells lovely, and is a pleasure to use each night – but Ole Henriksen recommends using 2-3 times a week at first, to prevent any irritation, before building up to nightly use.
The Ole Henriksen Dewtopia 20% Acid Night Treatment features 10% AHAs and 10% PHAs which is pretty potent, so I was worried it might be a little too potent for my sensitive skin.
So I did a patch test first, before using it properly, and I have had zero irritations, redness or issues which is amazing, as my skin’s particularly problematic this year.
I had a pretty bad food-based allergic reaction a few weeks ago, so when I received the Ole Henriksen Dewtopia 20% Acid Night Treatment, my skin couldn’t have been more textured, which was the perfect test for the treatment.
In just one use, I was shocked at the improvement of the texture of my skin in the morning. There’s no way I could use foundation the previous day, but the treatment worked wonders, and had smoothed the uneven texture and dry patches considerably, and enough that I could apply foundation.
I can’t recall seeing such noticeable benefits from a skincare product in just one use. Not only did my skin feel better, it looked better, and if you’ve been struggling with textural issues, or maskne, you need to give the Ole Henriksen Dewtopia 20% Acid Night Treatment a go, as it’s fantastic, and is the best Ole Henriksen product I’ve ever tried – and I’ve tried a lot.
