The NYX The Brow Glue Instant Brow Styler launched back in November, it wasn’t a product I was instantly tempted by, as it just looked like a tube of clear brow gel. However, I’ve seen a lot of videos on TikTok showing it in use, so I decided to give it a try.

NYX The Brow Glue Instant Brow Styler
Every brand is launching gels and waxes right now, with the promise of brow lamination effects. Brow lamination is a professional treatment where chemicals are used to straighten the brows, and it gives you a ‘fluffed’ up effect, which you can mimic using another popular trend right now; soap brows.
When I read the claims of the NYX The Brow Glue Instant Brow Styler, it didn’t really excite me as the before and after photos just looked the same as their Control Freak clear brow gel. However, people have raved about how much hold this ‘brow glue’ supposedly gives.
“Stick it to your brows! Our 1st instant brow styler with up to 16H extreme hold. This glue-like gel is transparent, flake-resistant, and dries down non-sticky with a natural finish!
It’s quick & easy to apply: just brush on and style in place to create limitless brow-raising looks that actually stay. Featuring a vegan formula with no animal-derived ingredients or by-products, all NYX Professional Makeup products are proudly cruelty-free and PETA certified.
The NYX The Brow Glue Instant Brow Styler is £6.50 / $8 and contains 5ml / 0.17 oz of product within a clear plastic tube, with a tiny spoolie brush applicator.
When you pull the wand out of the tube, the ‘glue’ creates strings like you’d see with actual glue, so it really does feel (and smell) like it’s a tube of glue.
I’m really on the fence with the NYX The Brow Glue Instant Brow Styler. It works like glue, in that it keeps your brow hairs in place all day even if you touch your brows, they’ll be locked in place.
If you have fuller brows like myself, I have to use a fair amount of the gel to coat the entirety of my brows, and by applying more, you’re left with white glue-like flakes, just as you would when using actual glue.
If you apply it sparingly, you don’t get the white flakes, but it’s just a little off putting, and the strong glue smell isn’t the nicest. If you have sparser brows, you’ll only need a tiny amount of this ‘glue’ to set your brows.
However, I just don’t enjoy having to check throughout the day incase I have flakey brows. I’d rather have unset, au naturel brows, than have brows with glue flakes in them – but that’s just me.
To use it up, I’m using other brows to do most of the work of styling, and setting my brow hairs in place, and then finish with a very light layer of the NYX The Brow Glue Instant Brow Styler for extra hold, but it’s not something I’d repurchase, unfortunately.
