Everyone raves about the NYX Setting Sprays, but I've not liked either the Matte Setting Spray or the Dewy Finish Setting Spray. The NYX Radiant Finish Setting Spray has just launched, to join the Matte and Dewy sprays they already have, and I'm intrigued to see how it compares.
To me there doesn't sound like a lot of difference between a ‘dewy' setting spray and a ‘radiant finish' setting spray, but keep on reading to find out about this new launch..
NYX Radiant Finish Setting Spray
Described as being perfect for festival season, and is infused with a blend of ultra-fine micro pearls in shades of gold and warm champagne, this shimmer setting spray leaves you looking like a glimmering goddess with every little spritz. Add this finish to your collection to round out your makeup setting spray options (matte, dewy, and now radiant)!
Step 1: Shake well to disperse pearlescent particles before each use.
Step 2: Hold bottle eight to twelve inches away from face and mist directly onto skin, avoiding the eye area.
Step 3: Spray over makeup for an ultra-natural finish.
Pro Tip: Spray between makeup applications and layer between foundation, contouring shades, and blush to prolong makeup.
AQUA / WATER / EAU, ALCOHOL DENAT., PVP, PROPYLENE GLYCOL, CALCIUM TITANIUM BOROSILICATE, NIACINAMIDE, DISODIUM EDTA, PHENOXYETHANOL. MAY CONTAIN / PEUT CONTENIR (+/-): CI 77491 / IRON OXIDES.
The new NYX Radiant Finish Setting Spray is £8 and contains 50ml. 50ml really isn't a lot of product for a setting spray, especially when every other brand like L'Oreal, Revolution, Catrice and Morphe are all 100ml setting sprays.
So it works out that the NYX Radiant Finish Setting Spray is actually expensive, as it's £8 for 50ml, and would be £16 for a 100ml size like every other brand, and £16 for a setting spray is definitely not drugstore territory.
I was looking at the initial reviews of this new setting spray, and people on the ULTA website have commented on the colour of the spray. It comes out a goldish bronze shade which apparently doesn't work with super fair skintones.
It's so strange that the spray would be tinted, so perhaps try it instore prior to purchase just incase it's too deep for your skintone. Imagine doing all of your makeup, and going to finish with the NYX Radiant Finish Setting Spray only for it to leave bronze coloured shimmer all over your face.
