Looking at the swatches, the NYX California Beamin Glow Booster looks like a bright silver powder highlighter. There’s a few photos on the NYX site showing the highlighter on different skintones, but it’s very silver. I’m not sure this is going to work for many people, as it looks so cool toned and robot like in the swatches.
Somebody did ask about the colour on the NYX website, and this was their response:
“Hi there! Our California Beamin’ Glow Booster will appear more silver than transparent on darker complexions. You can view a swatch on the product description! We hope you try it soon! xoxo“
I know these swatches are much more intense than it would be if applied to the face, but even on the face it looks quite strange and it just doesn’t look transparent in any of the full face makeup photos, or the swatch photos.
It’ll be interesting to see the reviews once it’s available worldwide. If you are interested, it’s $10 and currently a US exclusive.
