However, Lookfantastic had it on offer for almost 50% off, within weeks of it launching, so I decided to give it a try, as so many people rave about the Nudestix brow gel.
If you’re a fan of Kathleen Lights, and watch her YouTube videos, you’ll know how much she raves about the clear brow gel within the Nudestix Eyebrow Stylus. She frequently mentions how it’s her favourite brow gel, but it wasn’t available individually, so she’d finish the gel tube, and be left with the brow pencil.
The Nudestix Eyebrow Stylus Pencil + Gel is a dual-ended tube, with a triangle shaped angled tip brow pencil on one side, for you to fill in and define your brows. Then the opposite side features a clear brow gel to set your brows in place.
Kathleen mentions howe she didn’t want to keep repurchasing the Eyebrow Stylus as it was only the gel side she loved, and so, Nudestix listened to the feedback, and created the Nudestix Brow Boost + Set Gel XL.
The Nudestix Brow Boost + Set Gel XL is £20 / $28 and contains 10ml of product. It’s described as being a specially formulated brow gel that fluffs, thickens, and groom brow with a non-flaky, all-day hold.
“Eyebrows are one of your most prominent facial features? They accentuate your eyes, shape your face and play a powerful role in communicating self-confidence and assertiveness . All the more reason to keep your brows healthy, thick and groomed rather than unruly and sparse!
NUDESTIX BROW BOOST + SET GEL XL has a long wearing, medium-hold clear gel formulation that grooms and sets your brows in place while volumizings with peptides for up to +59% increase in brow hair density after only four weeks.”
The Nudestix Brow Boost + Set Gel XL comes with a tiny, natural bristled brush for precise application, and whilst it’s a ‘clear’ brow gel, it does have a subtle light brown tint, which hopefully you can see by looking at the bristles in the image above.
Clear brow gels are very easy to find in the drugstore, and they’re usually pretty affordable. I still don’t think £20 is worth paying for a clear brow gel, but I do like the formula of this particular brow gel.
It offers a decent amount of hold throughout the day, whilst leaving the brows feeling soft. It does make the brow hairs look a little shiny, which doesn’t bother me, but it does have a glossy finish once dried.
I paid £11 for my tube of the Nudestix Brow Boost + Set Gel XL, and I feel like that’s a reasonable price. It does have claims on helping to treat and look after the brow hairs, but I haven’t noticed any long lasting, noticeable benefits, so for me, it’s just a clear brow gel.
