I’ve already done an unboxing of the two No7 advent calendars, and the No7 Limited Edition Eye Collection Set is one of many No7 themed Christmas sets available this year. If you love No7 mascaras, you’ll love this set, and it’s perfect for the party season.
“Light up your eyes & the room with this collection of Limited Edition eye products to help you create a stand out look.“
The No7 Limited Edition Eye Collection is £18, and features a navy-blue gift box with a gold foil starburst design on the front. Inside the box, there are four full-sized eye makeup products wrapped in No7 branded tissue paper.
The first product inside the No7 Limited Edition Eye Collection is the No7 Liquid Eyeshadow 3.3ml, in the shade Mercury Shine. It’s a liquid glitter eyeshadow in a pale colour with gold and silver glitter.
It’s similar to the formula of the Stila Glitter and Glow Eyeshadows, but it’s not as pigmented and impressive. It’s more subtle, and I have a swatch for you at the bottom of this post.
Next up is the No7 Lash Impact Ultra Instant False Lash Volume Mascara, and like the other products in the set, it’s full size with a pretty gold glitter tube. The mascara has a natural bristle wand, with a subtle curve, and the wand tapers towards the tip of the brush.
Next in the No7 Limited Edition Eye Collection is the No7 Starry Skies Eyeliner, which is a pencil eyeliner with a sponge smudger on the end of the pencil. This pencil is a sheer black, with subtle shimmer. It’s creamy in terms of formula, but it’s not the most pigmented liner I’ve tried.
The last product in the set is the No7 Galactic Gold Eye Crayon, which is a twist-up eyeshadow crayon. It’s a very pale gold, with a shimmer finish, and it’s very sheer, and it’s a little disappointing. To get the swatches below, I had to do twenty plus strokes of the crayon, and it’s still not opaque.
If you like more subtle makeup, and you’re not bothered about opaque and high-impact eye makeup, I think you’d like this set, but for me, it’s just a little underwhelming.
The glitter shadow is subtle, the eyeliner is sheer, and the eyeshadow crayon is very, very sheer. The only product which isn’t disappointing is the mascara, but one out of four isn’t the best. No7 makeup is usually really good, but this set sadly isn’t as good as their usual quality.
