NARS are usually pretty early when it comes to launching their seasonal collections, but early March is definitely the earliest we’ve ever seen NARS launch their summer themed collection.
“Sensual. Dimensional. Eyes tell all. Passion meets pleasure in a palette of 16 shadows in matte, shimmer, and glitter finishes. Featuring bestselling NARS favorites Laguna, Orgasm, and Taj Mahal, plus complementary shades in a range of matte neutrals, warm bronzes, and exotic pink tones. Intense pigments create a high-impact effect that lasts. Limited edition.“
The NARS Summer Unrated Eyeshadow Palette is the main product within the NARS Summer Unrated Collection for 2022. As far as NARS summer collections go, this is a pretty small collection, with the eyeshadow palette, a lip mask and three blusher and bronzer duos.
This palette is housed within a rectangular compact, with a reflective pink layer on the lid. It’s quite simplistic in terms of design, but the pink lid also features on the three cheek duos within the collection, too.
The shadows inside the NARS Summer Unrated Eyeshadow Palette each contain 0.03 Oz. / 1 g of product per pan, and they’re rectangular pans with a generous sized mirror inside the lid.

As far as colour stories go, the NARS Summer Unrated Eyeshadow Palette is a mostly neutral eyeshadow palette, with a few pops of orange and pink.
The shades are almost laid out in two halves, with one side being mostly cool toned, and the other is most definitely more warm toned in comparison. It is a very pretty palette, and it looks like it’d complement all skintones and ages.
I’d love to see true genuine skin swatches, to see how metallic the shimmers look, as they look almost foil-like in the pan. It is a limited edition palette, and it’s available right now.
