NARS has launched a brand new product within their Soft Matte complexion collection, and it’s the NARS Soft Matte Advanced Perfecting Powder.
The NARS Soft Matte collection started off with the Soft Matte Complete Concealer, back in January 2017 (how was it that long ago?), and this latest launch joins the existing concealer, foundation, primer and tinted lip balms within the range.
Discover a multi-purpose, skin-perfecting powder that controls shine and blurs imperfections for up to 24 hours—without the dry, cakey feel. Infused with skin-smoothing niacinamide, this talc-free formula minimizes the appearance of pores. Wear alone or over foundation to set makeup.
The NARS Soft Matte Advanced Perfecting Powder is a multi-purpose, skin-perfecting powder that blurs imperfections, smooths the look of skin, and sets makeup for up to 24 hours.
This new NARS face powder, is housed within a circular black compact, complete with the iconic NARS rubberized texture, with a mirror inside the lid. It’s $36, and the compact contains 0.31 oz / 9 g of product, which is a pretty decent amount of product for a pressed face powder, especially for a higher-end beauty brand.
Key Ingredients
- Cocoa Butter-Treated Mica Minerals: Allow the formula to glide on effortlessly, leaving skin feeling like silk.
- Niacinamide: Minimizes the appearance of pores and absorbs oil over time.
- Adaptive Oil-Control Technology: Dual-powder system traps excess sebum and mattifies oily areas.
The new NARS Soft Matte Pressed Powder is designed to help control shine, whilst also helping to blur imperfections for up to 24 hours, without the dry and cakey feel, like most matte face powders.
It’s a talc-free pressed powder, which has been infused with niacinamide, for a skin-smoothing effect, which will minimize the appearance of pores, allowing you to apply over the top of your foundation to set your makeup in place, or it can also be worn alone on bare skin.
NARS Soft Matte Advanced Perfecting Powder Swatches
The new NARS Soft Matte Advanced Perfecting Powder is available in eight different shades;
- Cliff – very light to light with neutral tone
- Cove – light with warm tone
- Creek – light with cool tone
- Bay – medium with warm tone
- Sun Shore – medium with cool tone
- High Tide – medium-deep with warm tone
