NARS Light Reflecting Undereye Brightener
“This brightener is an advanced, makeup-skincare hybrid that illuminates and invigorates the under-eye area with brightness that lasts up to 24 hours. It is a long-wearing, crease-resistant formula that targets dark circles and dullness, while skin-loving ingredients help improve skin elasticity, support skin barrier, and lock in moisture.“
The NARS Light Reflecting Undereye Brightener is marketed as being an advanced, makeup-skincare hybrid formula that illuminates the under-eye area by targeting dark circles and dullness for brightness that lasts up to 24 hours.
NARS describe the product as being a makeup/skincare hybrid, designed to illuminate and invigorate the under-eye area with brightness, with upto 24 hours of wear time.
It has a long-lasting, crease-resistant cream formula, which works to target both dark circles and dullness all-in-one, whilst the skin-loving ingredients help to improve the skin’s elasticity, supporting the skin barrier, and locking in moisture in the under-eye area.
- Chromatic Pearls: A blend of reflective minerals with prismatic luster that brighten the under-eye area and reduce the look of fine lines.
- Bidens Pilosa Extract: A botanical ingredient known for its anti-aging benefits, including improving skin elasticity and strengthening skin barrier.
- Hyaluronic Filling Spheres: Moisture-locking microspheres hydrate while plumping and smoothing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
The NARS Light Reflecting Undereye Brightener is $34, and contains 0.21 oz / 6 g of product, within a clear glass jar, with a white plastic lid. It’s interesting NARS has gone for a white lid, as their cosmetics all have black lid packaging, and their skincare has white lid packaging.
So, it looks like NARS are really emphasizing the skincare ingredients within the formula. There are five shades in total to choose from;
- Night Swan – very light to light
- Golden Eye – light to medium
- Impossible Dream – medium
- Magic Hour – medium-deep
- Sunfire – medium deep to deep
NARS describes this new under-eye brightener as having a ‘radiant’ finish, and you can see how dewy and glowy it is in the swatches. So, I feel like it’s very much for those with drier skin under the eyes, or those with fine lines, as a radiant finish is a lot more forgiving on dry skin and lines around the eyes.
Even though it’s marketed as being radiant, and it does look very glowy, it’s supposedly crease-resistant, which is intriguing, as these types of products tend to gather under the eyes. If you’d like to check out this new launch, it’s available right now.
