The very exciting Melt Cosmetics MaryJane Collection has been announced and I’m totally here for the whole collection. Following the huge success of the Melt Cosmetics Four Twenty Collection last April, we knew they’d come back with another amazing collection for this year’s 4/20.
The Melt Cosmetics MaryJane Collection was first sneak peeked by the co-founder of Melt Cosmetics (Dana Bomar) when she posted a selfie on her Instagram saying she was wearing something from a new collection with the smoke emoji.
Dana’s makeup looked absolutely gorgeous, and her eye look was very much a cool toned makeup look, so I guessed that the upcoming collection was going to be cool toned, and I was 100% right.
The Melt Cosmetics MaryJane Collection is described by Melt as the following;
”Inspired by the dense tones found in cannabis smoke and the luster of crystal coated buds. She is elevating your classic smoky eye with gun metal and hazy crystalline hues.
Intensify the high with our NEW Glitter Pots. An all new category of sensational glitters in multidimensional metalized hues that amplify your look, no special primer required. ✨”
We have seen a lot of warm toned palettes from Melt, so I for one, am very excited about the upcoming Melt Cosmetics MaryJane Collection as it looks beautiful, and I adore cool tones.
We can see that the Melt Cosmetics MaryJane Collection features a brand new nine pan palette, with a crystallised raised MaryJane logo on the lid which looks super sleek.
The four matte shades in the palette have a cannabis leaf embossed design in their pans, and it’s giving me Urban Decay Naked 2 vibes, but a lot more modern, and definitely more edgy.
Included within the Melt Cosmetics MaryJane Collection Shadow Palette, the shades are;
- Sweet Lucy
- Santa Maria
In addition to the MaryJane Palette, there are three shades of a brand new formula for the brand. They’re Glitter Pots, and are described as being multidimensional metalized hues, which don’t require a special primer.
They sound particularly exciting as glitter always looks beautiful on the eyes, but it’s such a faff to apply. They each come in circular plastic jars, and have a gel like formula.
They contain 4.05g of product per jar, and from swatches I’ve seen, they have a sheer coloured base, with different shapes of glitter particles suspended within it, which can be applied over the top of eyeshadow, or worn alone.
The three shades of the Melt Cosmetics MaryJane Collection Glitter Pots are;
- Burnout – rose gold
- Pothead – bright silver
- Hybrid – gunmetal grey
No launch date, pricing or info has been revealed just yet, but I’ll be sure to update this post once further information has been revealed. This palette is 100% going to be my first ever Melt Cosmetics palette, and I’m excited!
