Maybelline x Disney Mickey Mouse Electric Parade Collection 2020 BIG Reveal!

Is there anything worse than a brand launching an amazing collection, only to discover it’s exclusive to a continent you don’t live on? The Maybelline x Disney Mickey Mouse Electric Parade Collection is one of the cutest makeup collabs I’ve seen but it’s an Asia exclusive, that’s been created to celebrate the brand new Lunar New Year.

The Electric Parade theme is cute because Disney used to have a Electric Parade in their park, which was massively popular so it’s nice that this collection is a nod to their popular parade, as well as celebrating the brand new Lunar New Year.

There’s not a lot of information surrounding the launch, but I guess that’s down to it being an Asia exclusive so it wouldn’t be promoted here in the UK or over in the US.

The Maybelline promotional images are amazing though, and it’s such a shame it’s not going to make its way to the UK as I know Disney fans would be delighted to get their hands on the products. Just look at the packaging!

The packaging is so bright and vibrant, and unlike anything I’ve seen from Maybelline before. Products have a black and red metallic theme, with neon light shaped Mickey Mouse logos.

The packaging looks so fun and luxurious for a drugstore brand, and I feel like the whole theme for the collection would appeal to everyone, and not just hardcore Disney fans.

The Color Sensational Lipsticks have black casing, with the neon Mickey silhouette on the lids, and the lipstick when pulled out of the case has metallic red packaging. On each of the bullets, there’s a super cute Mickey head engraved into the lipsticks which is guaranteed to please both Disney and Maybelline fans alike.

The Maybelline Hyper Sharp Eyeliner Pen is a liquid liner already available in the Far East, but they’ve created a special edition purely for this Maybelline x Disney Mickey Mouse Electric Parade Collection. The packaging is black with a neon light Mickey head on the tube, with a precise felt tip nib which is perfect for a quick and easy application.

The Maybelline Ultra Fluffy Eyebrow Pencil is a retractable brow pencil designed to create naturally defined and full-bodied brows. It’s the brand’s 1st gel-to-powder brow pencil that gives an instant brow boost, and it’s been created to have a fuss-free tear drop tip which makes filling in bald spots softly and easily. The normal version of this brow pencil is available in three shades, so I think the Maybelline x Disney Mickey Mouse Electric Parade Collection edition will have too.

Next up is the Maybelline LashIonista Endless Length Obsession Mascara which is a tubing mascara, meaning it comes off the lashes with just warm water. The formula contains fibers which adhere to your lashes to create a lifted, lengthened and volumised look to your lashes that lasts all day without smudging.

We believe the Maybelline Power Cover Cushion Foundation is a completely new launch, and I can’t find any information on claims. Although cushion foundations tend to offer a more luminous finish, for a fresher foundation application. The compact design is so cute, with the neon Mickey effect on the lid.

The last product within the Maybelline x Disney Mickey Mouse Electric Parade Collection is the Maybelline Disney City Mini Eyeshadow Palette, and is a mini eyeshadow palette containing six powder eyeshadows – five of which are metallic, and one is matte. The promo swatches have been done with a stencil, and they do look like very pretty, colourful shades which complement the colourful theme of the collection perfectly.

It’s not the first time that Maybelline have collaborated with Disney, as they collaborated previously for the 90th anniversary collection but that collection was a lot more muted in comparison with a monochrome theme.

If you’re jetting off to the far east over the next few weeks, you will not want to miss this collection. It launched on the 25th of January so everything is available now, but remember it is a limited edition collection and will undoubtedly sell out quickly.
