Maybelline have launched a brand new eyeshadow palette; the Maybelline Nudes In The City Eyeshadow Palette which appears to be a Europe exclusive right now, but hopefully it’ll launch globally very soon.
I really rate the Maybelline eyeshadows, so I’m always excited whenever they launch something new, and keep on reading to find out about the Maybelline Nudes In The City Eyeshadow Palette.
Maybelline Nudes In The City Eyeshadow Palette
When I first saw the Maybelline Nudes In The City Eyeshadow Palette, I thought that it might have been the Maybelline Nudes of New York Palette, but with a different name.
However, the shades and layout is completely different. The Nudes of New York Palette is a US exclusive palette, so it was possible this was a new version for Europe, but the colour story is different, so I’m not so sure.
This palette has plastic packaging, with an image of Brooklyn Bridge and ‘Postcard from New York Nude Edition’, so it could be that Maybelline are going to launch different palettes themed around different cities across the globe?
The Maybelline Nudes In The City Eyeshadow Palette has an interesting layout which I’ve never seen Maybelline do before. The back of the palette has a sticker showing that the shades within this twelve pan palette have been laid out so you can use the shades in quads, trios and duos.
Natasha Denona does this with her palettes, so it’s fab that a drugstore brand is doing something similar. Meaning you can take a quad, trio or duo and know you’re going to be able to create a cohesive makeup look.
The Maybelline Nudes In The City Eyeshadow Palette includes a pretty collection of matte, shimmer and satin shades. The shades are generally quite rosy in tone, but there’s some really pretty unique shades like an olive green on the top row, and a cranberry shade on the bottom row. I really like this palette, and I’d love to see Maybelline launch some more city inspired palettes going forward.
