Makeup Obsession So Balm Lip Balm Collection

Revolution have launched lots of new Makeup Obsession products today, including their Mega Plump Plumping Lip Gloss range. In addition to the glosses, they’ve also created the Makeup Obsession So Balm Lip Balm Collection which looks extremely similar to a cult favourite, bestseller from Glossier..

I have been a little underwhelmed by Makeup Obsession as a whole from what I’ve tried, but there’s a product I am obsessed with right now and that’s their Game Set Matte Powder.

I need to dedicate a whole post to it, but I think it might be better than my favourite MAC powder, so I’m open to trying more from the Makeup Obsesion brand, and this new Makeup Obsession So Balm Lip Balm Collection is right up my street.

There are six different ‘shades’ within this balm range, and they each have a metallic tube with a coloured band at the base to match the colour of the balm inside. Each of the balms is £5, and they contain 15ml each, which is really generous for a lip balm.

The packaging is amazingly similar to Glossier Balm DotCom lip balms, but they’re £10 each, so if the formula is comparable, these are an absolute steal!

The Makeup Obsession So Balm Lip Balm shades are:

  • Original
  • Cherry – leaves a sheer pink tint
  • Icing Sugar – has tiny flecks of sparkle
  • Mango
  • Mojito
  • Sherbert

The swatches in these Makeup Obsession So Balm Lip Balm photos make the balms look very pigmented, but I don’t think they’re tinted on the lips but I can’t be sure. I have checked all over Instagram today and I’m yet to see any swatches on skin, so we know what they look like on the lips, but as soon as I’ve seen some proper swatches, I want to buy at least Sherbet, Mango and Icing Sugar.

I’m really excited about the Makeup Obsession So Balm Lip Balm collection – they do look, and sound like Glossier dupes, and it’s amazing that they’re only £5 each.
