Revolution are on a roll with their base launches right now. Last week we had the Heartbreakers Concealer and Revolution Conceal & Define Infinite Concealer, and today we have the Revolution Makeup Obsession Quick Stick Foundation. It’s so strange to me that they’d choose to launch so many base products in one go, as it’s so overwhelming to their consumers and not many people can afford to purchase new launches every week, especially as Revolution’s demographic is a younger audience.

The Makeup Obsession Quick Stick Foundation is £6 and is a twist up, solid foundation stick similar to their Fast Base Foundation. The Makeup Obsession version has pastel pink packaging, with bold silver writing on the tube. There’s no mention of volume anywhere on the Revolution website, but the Fast Base Foundation contains 6.2g so I’d like to think the Makeup Obsession Quick Stick Foundation has a similar volume of product.
The shade range of the Makeup Obsession Quick Stick Foundation has really surprised me, as there’s only 21 shades. They’ve launched a 21 shade range one week after launching a concealer with 60 shades, so it’s strange to me that they’d create a shade range that’s a third of their main range concealer.
The shades are divided into three shade ranges; Light, Medium and Dark which are shown by a L, M or D before the numbers in the list of shades.
There aren’t enough fair shades, as the fair shades Makeup Obsession have categorised as being ‘fair’ are very much light rather than fair – and there’s only one ‘dark’ shade. I know I wouldn’t be able to find a shade match within the range which is a real shame, as I’d like to have seen how the Makeup Obsession Quick Stick Foundation formula compared to the Fast Base Foundation.
