This Wednesday, Revolution dropped a number of new Makeup Obsession launches including the Mega Plump Plumping Lip Glosses, and the Glossier Balm DotCom dupes; the Makeup Obsession So Balm Lip Balms. The Makeup Obsession Illuminating Shimmer Highlighters was another of their new launches, and they look beautiful!
Makeup Obsession Illuminating Shimmer Highlighters
The Makeup Obsession Illuminating Shimmer Highlighters are available in four different shades:
- Swag
- Billionaire
- Duchess
- Game
Each of the four highlighters are £6, and contain 14 grams of product. That is such amazing value for money. These sticks can be used on both the face and body, but 14 grams is a hell of a lot of product, so one of these sticks is going to last you forever, even when using it on your body too. You could use these sticks on your face, your legs, your arms, your collarbones – literally anywhere!
Here are the swatches showing the four shades of the Makeup Obsession Illuminating Shimmer Highlighters in action. The photo is from the Revolution website, and is a little blurry compared to their usual photos so it doesn’t show the swatches to their full potential, but they really do look pretty in the live swatches I’ve seen them share on social media.

Game – warm bronze
These are the shade descriptions Revolution have given for all four shades. I really like the look of Swag or Duchess, but I think it’s great they included shades for four different skintones.
Milk Makeup have only one shade of their highlighter stick which is called Lit, then they have a ‘holographic’ (not holographic at all – it’s iridescent) shade, so Makeup Obsession have trumped their range with their four shades. For £6 I really don’t think you can go wrong, but they’re stocked in Boots if you’d like to see them in real life before purchase.
