The MAC summer collection has officially dropped, and it looks truly beautiful. The MAC Strobe Face Glaze is a brand new product to MAC full stop, and not just this collection, and they were used all over Fashion Week to create the perfect, glass skin glow.
It’s all about the K Beauty glass skin trend right now, with liquid and gel-like highlighters being launched from drugstore brands all the way through to high-end. It’s just launched right here.

MAC Strobe Face Glaze
The MAC Strobe Face Glaze is available in four different shades, and is $28 / £21 for 15ml of product. I know 15ml doesn’t sound like a lot of product, but this is the kind of highlighter that only needs a tiny amount to make the skin glow.
You could probably use a pin head sized amount for each side of your face, so the tubes are deceptively small. Obviously if you wanted to use it on the body, the size isn’t going to last very well but you could always mix it with a body lotion or body oil to make it go further.
OK so what is the MAC Strobe Face Glaze? Everyone knows about the iconic MAC Strobe Cream, which is, as the name suggests, a cream with beautiful micro shimmer particles so when it’s applied to the skin, it adds the most amazing subtle sheen and glow. It’s the kind of product you can use as a primer, a moisturiser or even mixed with your foundation to sheer it out.
However, the MAC Strobe Face Glaze is not as subtle as Strobe Cream. Sure you can layer up Strobe Cream, for more shimmer and shine but this new formula is highly concentrated and leaves the skin looking like glass.
Described as being an iridescent glossy face highlighter that delivers the dewiest glow – if that description hasn’t sold the MAC Strobe Face Glaze, I don’t know what will.
- Ultra-blendable
- Wears comfortably
- Healthy glow
- Immediately non-drying
- Instant and long-term hydration
The MAC Strobe Face Glaze is described as being a smooth, glossy balm with glowing pearlescent particles that creates the ultimate dimensional highlighting effect on skin that beams with luminosity.
You can apply the new Glaze formula in a more sheer layer for a more translucent, sophisticated oil-slicked look. It claims to stay in place, but remains lightweight enough for comfortable wear.

- Like It Lilac That – Opalescent Lavender Pearl
- Let’s Make Waves – Rose Champagne
- Magic Hour – Golden Pinky Peach
- Bronzejour – Deep Bronze
MAC recommend applying the MAC Strobe Face Glaze formula by smoothing over skin with fingertips, wherever a highlighted effect is desired.
The highlighters are packaged within clear plastic tubes, with a long and narrow nozzle allowing you to squeeze however much you want to use reducing any wastage.
The swatches of the four shades look so juicy and pretty, and I particularly love the look of Like It Lilac That as it looks like the most amazing duochrome shade.

If you like the RMS Living Luminizer, I think you’d really like this formula, as they appear to have the same gloss-like finish except this MAC version looks like a much more amped up version.
I like that there’s shades for most skintones, and this is definitely going to be one of the most popular products within this year’s MAC summer collection.
