The MAC Magnificent Moon Collection has finally launched in Europe, after being available in the Far East for weeks. I just love the packaging on this collection, as I love anything celestial themed, and it’s amazing that MAC have gone all out on the products within the collection.
MAC Magnificent Moon Collection
The MAC Magnificent Moon Collection is one of the MAC Spring collections, and follows up from the launch of their equally beautiful Wild Cherry collection, which launched last month.
Within this collection, there are seven products in total, and the collection includes a highlighter palette, an eyeshadow palette, special edition MAC Fix+, four lipsticks, four lip liners, a dual-ended eyeliner and a dual-ended face brush.
All of the products within this collection have purple and gold packaging, with stunning stars and moons all over. Everything looks so pretty, and MAC have even patterned the pans inside the highlighter palette. Let’s take a closer look at the products within the collection…
The first products, within the MAC Magnificent Moon Collection, are four shades of lipsticks. They’re housed within bright purple casing, with a starburst and gold foil stars.
The shades look quite similar, with them being variations of deep pink, and the shade names are;
- Skies Above
- Across The Sky
- Moon And Back
- Hey Moon
To go with the lipsticks, the MAC Magnificent Moon Collection features four shades of lip pencil, which look like they complement the tones of the lipsticks.
The four lip liner shades are;
- Spice
- Whirl
- Soar
- Boldly Bare
They are all shades which feature in the permanent line-up of the MAC Lip Pencil lip liner range, but for this collection, they’ve been given the purple and gold star design, and they look amazing.
Next, in the MAC Magnificent Moon Collection, is a special edition packaging design of MAC Fix+. The scent appears to just be the original, but the clear plastic bottle has the gold foil crescent moon, sun and star design which features across the entire collection.
The MAC Magnificent Moon Collection features just one makeup brush, and it’s the 129 SES / 168 SES Dual-Ended Face Brush, which has been designed to be used with the highlighter palette within the collection.
Next we have one of the most popular pieces within the collection, and it’s the MAC Magnificent Moon Eyeshadow Palette, which features six powder eyeshadows.
The packaging is super pretty, with the same celestial design, and there’s a mirror inside the lid. In terms of shades, they’re all part of the brand’s permanent range, and this palette contains matte and satin finishes in the following shade names;
- Nylon
- Soft Brown
- Texture
- Antique
- Embark
- Carbon
Next, is the MAC Magnificent Moon Dual Dare All-Day Waterproof Liner, which features a liquid eyeliner pen on one side of the liner, and the opposite side houses a retractable kohl liner.
The last piece within the MAC Magnificent Moon Collection is the MAC Magnificent Moon Surrounded By Stars Extra Dimension Highlighter Palette, featuring four powder highlighter shades.
This is most definitely the prettiest piece in the whole collection, and the four pans feature a raised star and moon design.
It’s a stunning design, and it looks like it wouldn’t disappear straight away from using it either. Inside this palette, the shades you’re getting are;
- Oh, Darling
- Hushed Tone
- Surrounded By Stars
- Hard To Get
Depending on your skintone, these shades could work as highlighters, bronzers, blushers and eyeshadows. They look seriously pretty, and the design is just amazing, and the whole collection is available right now.
