What Is The MAC Fix+ Stay Over Long-Lasting Setting Spray?
The MAC Fix+ Stay Over Long-Lasting Setting Spray is an alcohol-free, hydrating setting spray that sets makeup for 16 hours while also delivering protection from pollution and blue light
Funnily enough, the MAC Fix+ Stay Over Long-Lasting Setting Spray is the first ever proper makeup setting spray. Fix+ has been one of the most popular MAC products to date, and contrary to the product’s name, it isn’t actually a setting spray.
The original Fix+ is more of a finishing just to merge the layers of your makeup together. There are no fixing agents within the formula, so it doesn’t prolong your makeup wear-time in any way.
The new MAC Fix+ Stay Over Long-Lasting Setting Spray is alcohol-free, and sets your makeup in place for 16 hours. Helping your makeup to also stay color-true (with no oxidizing) for sixteen hours, whilst protecting the skin from both pollution and blue light.
By using this new setting spray, it’ll make your makeup transfer-resistant, and the bottle that houses the setting spray features a fine-mist pump, for a light and even mist over the skin.
Clinical Study Results

- 94% say Fix+ Stay Over helps foundation stay colour-true throughout the day*
- Consumer testing on 122 women after one week of product use
The formula is said to feature an innovative hydrating formula, which utilizes tiny film-former particles to weightlessly keep your makeup in place. It’s exciting to finally see MAC enter the setting spray arena, and if you want to check out the new MAC setting spray, it’s available right now.
