MAC Cosmetics x Richard Quinn Collaboration
“Explore Richard Quinn’s bold, unexpected take on fashion – translated into a colour collection to create your own inspired, eclectic makeup moment.“
The MAC Cosmetics x Richard Quinn Collaboration is a collaboration between MAC Cosmetics and Richard Quinn. Richard Quinn is a British fashion designer. All of Richard’s designs are colorful, bright and fun, and that’s exactly what this collection is.
Let’s take a look at everything within this fun collection…
“A limited-edition, vibrant Matte lipstick in four new shades, outfitted in a signature Richard Quinn design featuring vibrant flowers and polka dots.“
The first products within the MAC Cosmetics x Richard Quinn Collaboration are the MAC x Richard Quinn Matte Lipsticks. There are four lipsticks to choose from, and they all have a matte finish, and are £24 each.
Each of the lipsticks have amazing black and white polka dot and floral casing. I can’t get over how cute the packaging is, and it’s so unlike any lipstick design we’ve seen from MAC previously. There’s even a white printed Richard Quinn autograph on the base of each lipstick.
The four shades available are;
- MAC x Richard Quinn Mega Magenta Matte Lipstick
- MAC x Richard Quinn Rose Daydream Matte Lipstick
- MAC x Richard Quinn Coral Haze Matte Lipstick
- MAC x Richard Quinn Vamp-Tastic Matte Lipstick
“A limited-edition alcohol-free setting spray in a cherry blossom scent that keeps your makeup looking fresh for up to 12 hours – outfitted in a signature Richard Quinn design featuring a vibrant floral and polka dot pattern.”
If, like me, you love it when MAC does a special edition packaging design on their Fix +, you’re going to love this new collab. The MAC Cosmetics x Richard Quinn Collaboration features a special edition MAC x Richard Quinn Cherry Blossom Fix +, with a floral bottle design.
“Glimmer with glamour! Highlight your face’s highest planes – and anywhere else – with an all-new shimmery warm beige shade and best-selling silvery cool beige shade of Extra Dimension Skinfinish. The hybrid liquid-powder formula, sprinkled with prismatic metallic reflections, wears for ten hours. Outfitted in a signature Richard Quinn design featuring a vibrant floral and polka dot pattern.“
The item in the collection, which is guaranteed to sell out, is the absolutely stunning MAC x Richard Quinn Extra Dimension Skinfinish. Just look at that raised pan design?! It’s beyond stunning, and I love that the polka-dots are carried through to the pan design too.
There are two shades to choose from within the collection, with a brand new shimmery warm beige (Day Glow), and a best-selling silvery cool beige shade. With the highlighter having a hybrid liquid-powder formulation, which has been sprinkles with ‘prismatic metallic reflections’ giving you up to 10 hours of wear time.
“Chic to cheek! This split-pan blush offers two all-new bronze and coral shades with a Satin finish. The weightless formula blends easily and applies smoothly. Outfitted in a signature Richard Quinn design featuring a vibrant floral and polka dot pattern.“
Next in the MAC Cosmetics x Richard Quinn Collaboration is the MAC Cosmetics x Richard Quinn Powder Blush Duo £34. It’s a split pan blusher, with one side being a warm-toned bronze, and the other side is a pinky coral shade.
This pan design reminds me of the MAC x Rihanna Hibiscus Kiss (which I own) from their collab back in 2013. Even the ratio of bronze to blush is the same, so if you were gutted you missed out on that blush (it sold out in record time), this could be a good alternative.
“Join the mod squad! This eight-pan eyeshadow palette features all-new 60s fashion-inspired shades in Frost, Lustre and Velvet textures. These cool pastel shades apply with a smooth finish and vibrant – never chalky – payoff for all skin tones. “
If you like icy metallics and pastels, you’re going to love the eyeshadow palette within the MAC Cosmetics x Richard Quinn Collaboration. It’s the MAC x Richard Quinn Quinning Eyeshadow Palette £38.
This is an eight-pan eyeshadow palette, inspired by 1960s fashion, with MAC Frost, MAC Lustre and MAC Velvet eyeshadow formulas all-in-one. Inside this palette, the eight eyeshadow shades are;
- Lemon Fizz
- Mint Cloud
- Mono Dramatic
- Gleam Queen
- Blush Goddess
- Sultry Sunset
- Fairy Fiasco
- Dusk Diva
“Emphasize your eye for style with MAC Colour Excess Gel Pencil Eyeliner featuring two all-new pastel shades along with two bestselling shades. This ultra-pigmented, waterproof formula offers 24+ hours of wear on lids and 12 hours of wear on waterlines”
The MAC Cosmetics x Richard Quinn Collaboration includes four eyeliners to complement the tones within the eyeshadow palette within the collection. It’s the MAC x Richard Quinn Colour Excess Gel Pencil Eyeliners, and they are £22 each.
Each of the retractable eyeliner pencils have white plastic packaging, covered in a floral Richard Quinn print, and then a black and white polka-dot design on the lids.
Within the four-shade line-up, two of the shades are brand new, and two of the shades are repeat shades from their permanent range of the eyeliners. The four shades available are;
- Lav-It
- Mint Crush
- Incorruptible
- Glide Or Die
“A limited-edition endlessly buildable, clump-resistant mascara that stacks on infinite layers of volume and length.“
The very last item within the MAC x Richard Quinn collection is a special edition packaging version of the newest MAC mascara, and it’s the MAC x Richard Quinn MACStack Mascara.
This mascara launched in 2022, and for this collab, it’s been given a makeover, with the floral Richard Quinn print all over the tube, and the same black and white polka-dot print all over the lid.
I think this is such a fun collection for spring. The shades are perfect considering they’re inspired by 1960s fashion, and the packaging designs are just amazing. I love the look of the highlighter in particular, and the entire collection is available right now.
