The MAC holiday collections are always one of the most popular beauty collections each year, and the MAC Bold Bows Eye Love Surprises Eyeshadow Palette is one of the bow themed launches within this year’s collection.
All of the products within this year’s MAC Christmas collection have bows on the packaging, which reminds me of the MAC Glamour Daze Collection from 2012. So, I like that the collection has kinda a retro MAC collection vibe to it this year.
MAC Bold Bows Eye Love Surprises Eyeshadow Palette
“Command the crowd with a limited-edition six-pan eye shadow palette in four shade waves: Best-Sellers, Bold Bows, Sparkling Wine Splash and Regal Rosé. Features a variety of textures in essential holiday-exclusive and everyday shades.“
MAC describes the formula of the shadows within the palette as being saturated, and claims the shadows stay on all day long with non-creasing, eight-hour wear and rich color payoff.
The MAC Bold Bows Eye Love Surprises Eyeshadow Palette is housed within a baby pink circular compact, with a metallic pink bow on the front of the palette, where the clasp is to open the lid. It looks so pretty, and feminine.
The lid of the compact also features a water droplet effect which MAC describe as being “bubble-popped” but it looks like water droplets on a sheet of glass. It doesn’t appear to be a raised droplet design on the packaging like the MAC Alluring Aquatic collection from 2014.
Inside the MAC Bold Bows Eye Love Surprises Eyeshadow Palette, there’s a mirror inside the lid and six powder eyeshadows. The shades include oranges, purple, gold, cranberry and dark brown.
It’s not the most holiday inspired eyeshadow palette MAC has ever done, but there are other eyeshadow palettes within the collection. It’s always good to see brands change things up, and the swatches look promising, with good pigmentation and color payoff. If you like colorful palettes, this palette is available right now.
