L’Oreal x Elie Saab Bridal Eyeshadow Palette
After last year being the biggest nightmare for many brides, I like the idea that L’Oreal and Elie Saab have created a capsule collection aimed at brides, with many weddings being postponed from last year and moved to this year.
“L’Oreal Paris has collaborated with famous designed Elie Saab to create a complete makeup range to celebrate your wedding in glamorous style.
From the elegant blushing bride to a glamorous hen party look, this collection has it all. Let’s make up for all the cancelled weddings in 2020 and get creative with our 2021 wedding celebrations! “
The L’Oreal x Elie Saab Bridal Collection is a collaboration with L’Oreal’s makeup range and the designer Elie Saab. Elie Saab is a Lebanese fashion designer, famed for his stylish wedding gowns and haute couture dresses designed to flatter and enhance the feminine silhouette.
The L’Oreal x Elie Saab Bridal Eyeshadow Palette is £15.99, and it’s a nine-pan eyeshadow palette. It’s a beautiful palette in terms of packaging, with a gold metallic compact.
On the lid of the palette, there’s a pink faux leather covering which looks so chic and luxurious for a drugstore eyeshadow palette. Inside the palette, there’s a mirror, and on the base of the compact, there’s a sticker which peels back to reveal the shade names of all nine shades.

Over the years, I’ve tried a lot of L’Oreal eyeshadows, and they’re not the most consistent in terms of pigmentation and quality. They are often very hit and miss, but the L’Oreal x Elie Saab Bridal Eyeshadow Palette is beautiful.
It’s not a colour story you’d typically picture for a bridal palette, but the shades were chosen for creating wedding makeup, but also evening looks too, so for example the wedding service and then the wedding reception in the evening which is a clever idea.
The shades are all silky soft, and feel like velvet. I’ve never tried L’Oreal shadows as good as these, and I wish as a brand, they were more consistent as this formula is excellent.
I like that you have some pretty neutrals, but there’s also a pop of emerald green, a lilac and a deep teal too. I honestly wasn’t expecting very much from this L’Oreal x Elie Saab Bridal Eyeshadow Palette, due to disappointing past experiences with L’Oreal eyeshadows.
However, it’s a great palette, and I love that whilst the packaging is definitely upgraded from the usual L’Oreal makeup launches, but the formula is too.
