I love the L’Oreal Life’s a Peach Blusher, so when I saw that they’d launched the L’Oreal Melon Dollar Baby Skin Awakening Blush, I knew I had to have it.
As well as loving the Life’s a Peach Blusher, I also own and love the L’Oreal Icoconic Glow Highlighting Powder, so I was pretty confident I’d love the melon themed blush addition to the range.
L’Oreal Melon Dollar Baby Skin Awakening Blush
The L’Oreal Melon Dollar Baby Skin Awakening Blush launched back in May, and was only available as Melon Dollar Baby for a few weeks, and it’s already been repackaged and renamed.
You can still get your hands on this blush, but it’s also now known as the Blush Of Paradise too. So depending on where you order it from, you might get the Blush of Paradise or the Melon Dollar Baby Skin Awakening Blush, but regardless of the name and packaging design, the shade is the same.
“Take your skin to Paradise with a luminous, radiant glow! Introducing Blush of Paradise Melon Dollar Baby, a delicate melon shade that gives a healthy glow finish with a delicious scent. Add a pop of warmth to any complexion.
The pigmented melon powder highlights cheekbones and can be built up to achieve a customisable glow. Super wearable and flattering on all skintones, it’s the perfect colour for your no-makeup makeup look.“
The L’Oreal Melon Dollar Baby Skin Awakening Blush has an amazing peach scent, just like the peach scent of the Life’s a Peach Blusher, and a coconut scent of the Icoconic Glow Highlighter.
This version of the L’Oreal Melon Dollar Baby Skin Awakening Blush has a melon embossed design on the pan, but the new version has a rippled design. I, much, prefer this cute melon design, but the shade is exactly the same.
Melon Dollar Baby is a very pretty peachy pink shade with a luminous glow. There’s no obvious shimmer or glitter, and if anything, it reminds me of the formula of the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blushers.
This shade complements any lip colour or makeup look, and I’m tempted to try the new version, just to see if the shade is any different. I really wish L’Oreal would launch more blushers in the same formula as this blush and the Life’s a Peach blush, as it’s such a nice formula.
