Laura Mercier Prima Ballerina Mini Eyeshadow Palette | Holiday 2020

The Laura Mercier Christmas Collection for 2020 is themed around ballet, and the Laura Mercier Prima Ballerina Mini Eyeshadow Palette is just one of the items within their holiday collection for this year. I’ve already featured their Stargazer Mini Caviar Stick Set, and this is just one of the palettes on offer this year.

The Laura Mercier Prima Ballerina Mini Eyeshadow Palette is $32 but is said to have a value of $88 which is surprising, as you can’t purchase the shades individually, so I’m not sure where the value comes from.

It is a cute, miniature six pan palette packaged within beautiful pastel pink casing with a gold ribbon design. The ribbon design features across all of their holiday launches this year, and it really does look very pretty, feminine and fits the ballet theme really well.

Laura Mercier Prima Ballerina Mini Eyeshadow Palette

Laura Mercier’s Prima Ballerina Mini Eyeshadow Palette is a limited edition six-shade palette of eyeshadows inspired by the ethereal world of the Paris ballet.

The drama and decadence of the Paris ballet, choreographed into a stunning palette of six debuting eyeshadows.

Create endless artistry with three shades of soft luminous shimmer, two pigment-rich mattes, and a bold pink metallic, all formulated in bouncy textures that allow you to apply and blend effortlessly.

The six shades inside the Laura Mercier Prima Ballerina Mini Eyeshadow Palette are all pastels apart from one;

  • Allegro
  • Entrelacé
  • Cabriole
  • Plié
  • Adagio
  • Balançoire

In all honesty, I’m not a big fan of this palette. The colours just look quite random, and I’m not sure they complement each other. In a mini palette like this, you want shades which will work together to create a cohesive look, but lilac, green, burgundy all clash and then you have three pinks – two of which look almost identical.

I think this palette reminds me of macarons more than ballet, but I’m sure I’m probably in the minority in feeling like this. If you like the look of this palette, it’s available right now
