Laura Geller Baked Dolce Highlighters
If you’ve been a beauty junkie for a good number of years, I can confidently say that most of us have tried at least one of the Laura Geller Baked Gelato Swirl Highlighters.
Gilded Honey was a seriously popular highlighter 3-4 years ago, and it was impossible to get your hands on, as it was so popular. I have four of the shades in my collection, and in all honesty I use them more as eyeshadows than I do highlighters as I generally prefer something a little more subtle.
The Baked Gelato Swirl Highlighters are undeniably beautiful, but they’re very intense. They impart a wet foil like sheen to the skin, and not everyone wants to rock the Bacofoil look.
So, the Laura Geller Baked Dolce Highlighters look a lot more promising for those of us that love a gorgeous glow, but want to look human at the same time.
The new Laura Geller Baked Dolce Highlighters are available in just two shades;
- Prosecco – a golden girl glow. Picture it — a perfect candlelight, that hour right before a summertime sunset where everything just looks better. Works for all Geller gals!
- Rosato – is a soft pink glow that blends into skin perfectly to light up any skin that is tired, overworked, or in need of a vacation. The pink lifts your undertone, but almost doesn’t even look like color on skin, just a fresh glow. Looks best on gals from Porcelain to Tan!
Prosecco is a more golden hue, whereas Rosato is considerably more pink in comparison. The powders are $34 each, and they contain 4.5g of product, within a black plastic compact with a mirror in the lid.
Laura Geller describes the Laura Geller Baked Dolce Highlighters as being luxurious, slow baked highlighters featuring pearlised pigments to help create a dimensional, yet natural finish.
The formula features nourishing ingredients ingredients, such as Silica and Lauroyl Lysine (derived from coconut oil). They help to soften skin, while vitamin E protects against free radicals.
The silky dome powder feels like a cream and creates the perfect lit-from-within glow without the glitter – my favourite kind of highlighter.
They both look very pretty, and it’d be good to see more shades introduced as they’re not very inclusive right now, so hopefully the brand will extend the shade range very soon,
