Lancôme Teint Idole Ultra Wear 5-In-1 Foundation Stick

The Lancôme Teint Idole Ultra Wear 5-In-1 Foundation Stick is $43, and is marketed as being a five in one foundation, and is available in 22 different shades. The lightest shade on offer is 90 Ivoire Neutral, and the deepest shade available is 510 Suede Cool. 

“This five-in-one, on-the-go foundation has a built-in kabuki brush to conceal, contour, cover, highlight, and blend.

Available in a wide variety of shades to complement every complexion, the lightweight, silky formula applies seamlessly and blends effortlessly with a natural-looking matte finish and a second-skin feel.”

I’m not sure I’d describe 22 shades as being a wide variety of shades, especially when the darkest shade they have is for deep skin, and there’s absolutely nothing for dark skin. It’s not enough for a high-end brand like Lancôme to offer just 22 shades, when drugstore brands can do double that shade range and more. 

The Lancôme Teint Idole Ultra Wear 5-In-1 Foundation Stick is said to work as a highlighter, a foundation, a concealer, a contour and a makeup brush all in one. It’s a stick foundation, with 0.33 oz/ 9.5 g of product, and the opposite end of the foundation houses a kabuki brush for application on the go. 

You usually see stick foundations with sponge applicators which aren’t ideal, and they’re impossible to clean. Whilst this brush will be difficult to clean, it’s a lot easier than a sponge, as you could hold the brush downwards under a tap to ensure the water doesn’t get into the glue to displace the bristles.
