Aldi have made quite the name for themselves with their beauty range, and creating more affordable beauty dupes for higher end beauty products.
The Aldi Lacura Makeup Setting Spray launched recently, alongside a matte version, and it was pretty obvious Aldi were trying to imitate the iconic Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray, for a fraction of the cost.
“For that flawless make-up look that lasts, the Lacura Makeup Setting Spray is the perfect addition to your makeup routine. Simply spritz over your finished look for the day, allow it to dry and be sure that your makeup will last all day.”
The Aldi Lacura Makeup Setting Spray is £3.99, and contains 110ml of product within a cornflower blue, plastic bottle with a pump dispenser. The Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray is £26, and contains 118ml, and features a navy plastic bottle with a pump dispenser.
Visually, the two bottles are obviously different shades of blue, but the plastic bottle has the same texture to it, and the scent is absolutely identical. If you sprayed both sprays, you wouldn’t be able to tell them apart. Even the pump mists the same intensity, with a light and even dispersal of the setting spray.
So the Aldi Lacura Makeup Setting Spray smells the same, the packaging feels the same, and it mists the same, but does it perform the same? Yes. Yes it does, and that’s coming from someone that’s highly sceptical, but this £3.99 setting spray performs just as well as the £26 All Nighter Setting Spray.
If you have an Aldi nearby, it’s worth a try for under £4, and it’s even available via the Aldi website too, but I also have their matte version to also share with you very soon.
