Kevyn Aucoin has announced the launch of a brand new foundation for spring; the Kevyn Aucoin Stripped Nude Skin Tint.
The announcement was made on their Instagram page, with the declaration that the coverage is supposedly so light and sheer, that shades can be worn across many skintones for a second skin look.
If you’d like to know more about the new Kevyn Aucoin Stripped Nude Skin Tint, keep on reading.
Kevyn Aucoin Stripped Nude Skin Tint
Kevyn Aucoin describe their new base product as being a tinted, sheer to light coverage foundation. It supposedly is infused with skincare benefits and blurs imperfections for a natural, even finish.
With a weightless and silky texture, infused with Butterfly Bush Flower Extract to help protect against free radicals caused by blue light. The foundation is formulated with hyaluronic acid, and the brand claim it will leave the skin looking as if it’s wearing next to nothing.
So why is the Kevyn Aucoin Stripped Nude Skin Tint unique?
- Hyaluronic acid will help to plump the skin, by smoothing and erasing imperfections.
- It’s infused with a water-in-silicone texture and elastomer powers for ultra comfortable wear.
- It’s enhanced with Butterfly Bush Flower Extract to help protect the skin against blue light.
- Wu-Zhu-Yu Fruits Extract Helps to add luminosity and leave skin more radiant.
Application Tips
Kevyn Aucoin recommend pumping one pump of the foundation onto the back of your hand, or onto your brush and then blend onto your skin and buff it out until you’ve achieved a seamless, even complexion. The foundation can be worn alone, or applied over the top of your foundation.
They also recommend prepping the skin with an optimum skincare routine for the best effect, and the product should be applied to areas that need more coverage first, then buff outwards and down in circular motions with light pressure. It can also be layered for additional coverage where needed.
Ingredients
WATER / AQUA / EAU, C13-15 ALKANE, DICAPRYLYL CARBONATE, DIMETHICONE, LAURYL PEG-9 POLYDIMETHYLSILOXYETHYL DIMETHICONE, SILICA DIMETHYL SILYLATE, METHYLPROPANEDIOL, PENTYLENE GLYCOL, SODIUM CHLORIDE, DIMETHICONE CROSSPOLYMER, STEARALKONIUM HECTORITE, PHENOXYETHANOL, PROPANEDIOL, ETHYLHEXYLGLYCERIN, SYNTHETIC FLUORPHLOGOPITE, TRIETHOXYCAPRYLYLSILANE, PROPYLENE GLYCOL, PROPYLENE CARBONATE, FRAGRANCE/PARFUM, EVODIA RUTAECARPA FRUIT EXTRACT, BUDDLEJA OFFICINALIS FLOWER EXTRACT, SODIUM HYALURONATE, TOCOPHEROL, BENZYL SALICYLATE, LINALOOL, HYDROXYCITRONELLAL, CITRONELLOL, LIMONENE, ALPHA-ISOMETHYL IONONE.
The Kevyn Aucoin Stripped Nude Skin Tint is currently only available in the US, where it’s on sale for £36 for 30ml, so I think it’ll be around the same price in pounds once it launches at SpaceNK.
The foundation is packaged within a clear plastic tube, with a pump dispenser so you can control how much product you dispense.
There are only ten shades available which isn’t particularly diverse, but Kevyn Aucoin do make a point in saying that the coverage is so light and sheer, that the shades can be worn across many skin tones for a second skin look.
I’m not sure how true that is, as you’d still need a shade that matches you and the Kevyn Aucoin Stripped Nude Skin Tint shades don’t appear to go light enough or dark enough. It looks like mostly a medium shade range, so there’s a lot more room for expansion if the brand decides to.
