The Jeffree Star Cosmetics Hydrating Glitz Lip Balm is one of two shades I purchased as part of the Jeffree Star Pink Religion collection, which launched in July.
I’ve already shared a review of the Pink Stained Glass Mirror, and today I have one of the Jeffree Star Cosmetics Hydrating Glitz Lip Balms to share with you.
“Upgrade your lip balm game with Jeffree Star Cosmetics Hydrating Glitz Tinted Balm. The luxe balm washes lips with a veil of hydration, sweet caramel scent, and sheer color. It’s housed in a beautiful, bright magenta bullet that deserves a permanent spot in your bag.“
The Jeffree Star Cosmetics Hydrating Glitz Lip Balm is $18 / £16, and is available in four different shades. This balm is a brand new formula for the brand, and as soon as I saw how beautiful they were, I knew I had to try them, as I love lip balm.
The Jeffree Star Cosmetics Hydrating Glitz Lip Balms are enriched in shea butter and vitamin E, to nourish, hydrate and protect the lips. They’re designed to import a sheer hint of colour, whilst adding sparkle to the lips.
Jeffree gave all four of the balms a delicious, sweet caramel scent, and they smell incredible. All of the Jeffree Star Cosmetics lip products smell good, but these balms smell exceptionally good.
Jeffree Star Cosmetics have a clear lip balm already, and these four pink themed balms all have the same packaging design as the clear version. With a hot pink, metal bullet shaped design. They do look beautiful, and have a nice weight to them too.
I had to include some macro photos of the Jeffree Star Cosmetics Hydrating Glitz Lip Balm, and they look incredible. With a textured effect to the bullet, with stars scattered all over the bullet, and lots and lots of sparkle. They’re called Glitz, and they very much are glitzy and super sparkly.
These are the swatches of the shade Hopeful, which is described as being a sheer soft pink. The top swatch is one single swipe of the Jeffree Star Cosmetics Hydrating Glitz Lip Balm, and the second swatch is four swipes, and as you can see, there’s very little colour.
They are marketed as being sheer though, and whilst there isn’t a noticeable colour to the lips, they feel lovely, with a nourishing, soft and silky texture. You can’t feel any grittiness with the glitter, and the effect on the lips is just so pretty, and I’ll be sure to share the other shade very soon.
