Illamasqua has launched their Christmas collection, with the Illamasqua Skyrocket Artistry Palette being the star product in the collection. There’s also a brush set, two makeup gift sets, two lipsticks and two lip glosses, all themed around fireworks, with pretty firework designs on the packaging.

Highly pigmented and blendable, the colour combination delivers no matter the occasion. With matte, shimmer and satin formulas, this palette has you covered from crisp autumn days through to festive winter evenings.”

The Illamasqua Skyrocket Artistry Palette is £39, and is the same layout and format as their other eyeshadow palettes, with twelve powder eyeshadows within cardboard packaging. On the outside of the palette, there are multicoloured firework patterns.

The colours inside the Illamasqua Skyrocket Artistry Palette include some neutrals, a pop of blue, green, yellow and some silver shades too. It doesn’t scream fireworks to me, but it’s different to the other Illamasqua palettes.

It looks like a pretty palette, featuring both bright and neutral shimmers, with no mattes. Illamasqua really thought about the colours and placement, as each shade is selected and placed into a perfectly matched duo, with the shade directly under it, giving you six eyeshadow duos.

I love this idea, especially if you struggle with inspiration on which shades to use, when using an eyeshadow palette, and due to there only being shimmer shades, you’d perhaps need to use matte shades from other palettes you own to create a cohesive look, and it’s available right now.
