We’ve already seen the brand launch a Lion King collection this year, and that only launched a couple of weeks ago, so it’s amazing to see another collaboration so soon.
“Why fit in when you can stand out?! ✨☁️ Get ready to stand out with our brand new collaboration, Dr. Seuss x I Heart Revolution 🎩🍳🐘”
The I Heart Revolution x Dr Seuss Collaboration is going to launch on the 18th of March, and will be launching both in the UK, and the US.
As it’s the I Heart Revolution brand, I’m sure it’ll probably launch at ASOS and ULTA as well, like their Fruity Pebbles collab did.
I had an inkling a Dr Seuss collaboration was in the works, as they shared an animated video on their Instagram page to celebrate Dr Seuss Day. Plus, it’s World Book Day today, so it makes sense they’d announce their latest collaboration today.
So, what’s going to be included within the I Heart Revolution x Dr Seuss Collaboration? As far as collections go, this is a pretty big collection. I’m gutted to say there isn’t a makeup bag or mirror in the collection, which is such a shame, as Dr Seuss fans would’ve loved those.
I did guess whether there would be different palettes themed around different Dr Seuss titles such as The Cat In The Hat, Horton Hears A Who, Green Eggs and Ham, and Fox In Socks. It appears that is actually happening, let’s have a look at the products in the collection.
I Heart Revolution x Dr Seuss Collaboration Swatches
Here are all of the swatches of the products within the I Heart Revolution x Dr Seuss Collaboration. I love that Revolution always includes swatches on both light and deep skintones, so you can get an idea of how the products will look on different skintones.
The I Heart Revolution x Dr Seuss Collaboration includes six different palettes, with both eyeshadow palettes and face palettes too. You will be able to purchase the palettes individually, or as a palette box set. We’ve not seen Revolution do a palette box set before, so it’s nice to see something a little different.
Each of the four shadow palettes contain eight powder shadows, whereas the two face palettes have shimmer brick like pans, with two pans each, but each pan is divided into strips of different colour, which of course, can be used on the face and the eyes.
You’ll be able to get the I Heart Revolution x Dr Seuss Collaboration for $50 / £36, or you can purchase the six palettes individually for $10 / £7.
So, by purchasing the palettes in the box set, you’ll be making a saving of $10 / £6. Then the six palettes available will be;
- I Heart Revolution x Dr Seuss The Cat In The Hat Shadow Palette
- I Heart Revolution x Dr Seuss Green Eyes and Ham Shadow Palette
- I Heart Revolution x Dr Seuss One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish Shadow Palette
- I Heart Revolution x Dr Seuss Oh! The Places You’ll Go Shadow Palette
- I Heart Revolution x Dr Seuss Fox In Socks Shadow Palette
- I Heart Revolution x Dr Seuss Horton Hears A Who! Shadow Palette
Next in the I Heart Revolution x Dr Seuss Collaboration, are lip glosses. There are three different lip glosses to choose from, and they each have clear plastic tubes, with patterned lids to match different Dr Seuss titles. The three gloss shades on offer are;
- I Heart Revolution x Dr Seuss Oh! The Places You’ll Go! Lip Gloss $8 / £6
- I Heart Revolution x Dr Seuss Fox In Socks Lip Gloss $8 / £6
- I Heart Revolution x Dr Seuss Horton Hears A Who! Lip Gloss $8 / £6
The glosses all appear to be quite sheer, and are possibly like their Pout Bomb Lip Glosses. The Oh! The Places You’ll Go gloss is a pretty peach with golden shimmer, Fox In Socks is a muted pink, and Horton Hears A Who! is a fuchsia pink.
I’m gutted the I Heart Revolution x Dr Seuss Collaboration only features one accessory product, and that’s a two-piece brush set. I think different mirrors or makeup bags would’ve really complemented the individual title themes. Makeup collectors would’ve loved the mirrors too.
The brush set is the I Heart Revolution x Dr Seuss Thing 1 and Thing 2 Brush Set, which is $12 / £10, and contains two synthetic makeup brushes. Each brush has a bright red handle, silver ferrule and bright blue bristles, designed to look like Thing 1 and Thing 2; the twins from the Cat In The Hat Book. It’s proper cute, and they’re face brushes.
Lastly, the Revolution collection includes a set of six eyeshadow crayons. We saw an eye crayon set in the Lion King collaboration a few weeks ago, and this set is $16 / £12.
The crayons have colour co-ordinated plastic packaging, with a twist-up mechanism. The shades are all named after titles in the book series;
- One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish – yellow gold
- Oh! The Places You’ll Go! – pale pink
- The Cat In The Hat – deep blue
- Green Eggs and Ham – lime green
- Horton Hears A Who! – pastel blue
- Fox In Socks – red
Dr Seuss is such a popular property, so I can only imagine this collection being super popular, and you’ll be able to get your hands on everything in the collection on the 18th of March right here.
