Revolution launched a fair few new launches, all of which have a chocolate theme including the I Heart Revolution Chocolate Dipped Mascara. I totally get the idea of having chocolate themed eyeshadow palettes and cheek palettes, but a mascara? Keep on reading to find out more…
I Heart Revolution Chocolate Dipped Mascara
Revolution have gone from having one mascara to eleven in under a year, with the I Heart Revolution Chocolate Dipped Mascara being the newest addition to their mascara wardrobe.
This new mascara is said to have ‘lash power’ although I’m not entirely sure what that lash power is as there’s no claims on the formula like you’d normally get with a mascara.
It’s just described as being a lengthening mascara that has been developed with chocolate lovers in mind because Revolution have given this mascara a scent which is a massive no-no for any mascara. With a product like mascara, you do not want to be applying a product that’s been given an artificial fragrance that close to the eyes.
The chocolate scent is unnecessary and just a massive gimmick. The formula is also said to have been infused with cocoa extract, but that’s pretty pointless. Although it is a dark chocolate coloured mascara which makes a change from the all of the black mascaras Revolution currently offer.
The I Heart Revolution Chocolate Dipped Mascara is £5 and features a synthetic bristle wand, with varying lengths of spiky plastic bristles. Revolution shared some photos on their Instagram page of before and afters of people that had used the mascara, and all the photos show their lashes looking spiky and sparse.
It definitely doesn’t look lengthening, and it doesn’t look half as impressive as their other mascaras, so this is a big gimmicky skip for me. Nobody needs a chocolate scented mascara, and instead I’d highly recommend their Big Lash Mascara which is fantastic…
