When the Huda Beauty Wild Obsessions Palette Collection dropped through my door over a week ago, I couldn’t have been more excited.
If you’re a regular reader of Makeup Muddle, or my other beauty blog, you’ll know how much I love Huda Beauty, especially their eyeshadow palettes. So when I saw there were not one, but four new eyeshadow palettes, I couldn’t wait to try them.
The Huda Beauty Wild Obsessions Palette Collection includes four nine-pan eyeshadow palettes, which are inspired by wild animals. Huda wasn’t just inspired by the animal’s beautiful colours and prints, but she also wanted to focus on powerful, bold, and fearless animals that are a source of inspiration during these wild times: the Python, Jaguar, Chameleon, and Tiger.
So the Huda Beauty Wild Obsessions Palette Collection is described by Huda as being the fiercest palettes, with vivid pops of colour, dreamy textures, and subtle transition shades that empower you to express your wild side or tame your inner feline.
The Huda Beauty Wild Obsessions Palette Collection is limited edition, and the brand claim to have gone all out creating fun, playful packaging, luxe formulas, and cohesive yet creative colour stories. With the palettes featuring insane shimmers, stunning new 3D duo-chrome finishes, and creamy mattes that make a super smooth base for any look.
The four animals, included within the Huda Beauty Wild Obsessions Palette Collection, are the following;
All four animals are housed within the most amazing holographic packaging, which changes the design in different lights, which I managed to capture. I have two of the four palettes available; Python and Chameleon, and I can’t wait to purchase Tiger and Jaguar, as they look equally stunning. Let’s take a look at the two palettes I do have…
“A color-pop of vibrant yet wearable shades. Expect deep purples, pinks and sunset oranges.”
The Huda Beauty Wild Obsessions Chameleon Palette has red plastic packaging, and an amazing chameleon scale design on the lid. Inside the palette, there’s one raised, 3D shadow which has the same scale design as the lid, and just look at how beautiful it is. It looks like liquid gold!
Here are the swatches of the Chameleon Palette. The pigmentation is incredible, with every single shade being super smooth, with intense colour payoff. The shimmers in particular are so silky, and I feel like the quality of the shadows in these two new palettes are the best they’ve ever launched.
“Totally transformative gold & green duo-chrome shades with complementing earthy tones, finished with a striking blue & powerful green.“
Just like the Chameleon palette within the Huda Beauty Wild Obsessions Palette Collection, the Python Palette has a raised 3D shade, and it’s the centre shade within the palette. The shadow features a 3D snake skin texture, and is the sparkliest, most multidimensional foiled teal shade.
Let’s take a look at the swatches of the Huda Beauty Python Palette…
Just like the Chameleon Palette, the Python Palette is incredible. I think this would be my favourite shade from the two, as the greens are just amazing. Every single shade is super pigmented, smooth and soft, blending effortlessly on the eyes, even the yellow shade.
I love how creative the Huda Beauty Wild Obsessions Palette Collection is. The shades inside each of the palettes do a great job at representing the individual animal, and I like the mix of textures and finishes.
I wish there was a marbled shade within the Python Palette, but I can’t rave about the quality of these shadows. All of my swatches are single swipe swatches, apart from the mint shade within the Python Palette, but even the bright and bold mattes are single swipes.
So pigmented, so beautiful, and I cannot wait to get my hands on the Tiger and Jaguar Palettes.
