During 2020, we saw lots of amazing sales on the Huda Beauty website, and I picked up the Huda Beauty Matte & Metal Melted Shadows Duo in a few shades in one of those sales.
I first tried the brand’s liquid eyeshadows with the Huda Beauty Mini Matte & Melted Shadows Set, which launched as part of the Huda Beauty Christmas 2020 collection. That stack features three mini shades of the brand’s liquid shadows, and I loved the formula so much, I knew I needed to try some of the other shades.
“Huda has put, not one, but TWO liquid eyeshadows in one product! The innovative Huda Beauty Matte & Metal Melted Liquid Shadows bring versatile color and finish combinations that create must-have looks within one swipe. Designed to be layered or used on their own, the dual-ended Matte & Metal shadows deliver rich pigmentation, intense shimmer, blendability and longevity – the shadows stay in place for up to 12 hours!“
The Huda Beauty Matte & Metal Melted Shadows Duo is a dual-ended liquid eyeshadow, with one side housing a shimmery liquid eyeshadow, and the other is a matte liquid eyeshadow, and they’re in complementary tones to create a whole eye makeup look in one.
Each side of the duo has a different applicator too, with a design to aid application of the two formulas. With the matte side of the duo having a conventional doefoot applicator, and the shimmery side is a small brush, allowing you to use it for eyeshadow or eyeliner.
The Huda Beauty Matte & Metal Melted Shadows Duo is available in 15 different shade variations, and this is the Request Line & Slow Jams Duo, which includes a stunning a cool toned lilac mauve matte, and a rose gold foil, and they pair together beautifully.
I love the formula of both sides, as they both apply easily with the applicators, fingers or a brush. They layer well over each other without getting patchy or breaking up, they also blend out well, as well as lasting all day.
I so wish Huda Beauty would launch some glitter shades in this very same formula, similar to the Stila Glitter and Glow Liquid Eyeshadows, as that’d be the perfect addition to the range of liquid eyeshadows.
I never thought I’d say it, but I much prefer the Huda Beauty liquid eyeshadow formula to the Stila liquid eyeshadow formula, and that’s saying something as I love the Stila Magnificent Metals Glitter and Glow / Shimmer and Glow Liquid Eyeshadows.
