When Huda launched her Huda Beauty Life Liner Precision Liquid Liner, I couldn’t wait to try it. I’m a big fan of liquid liner, and how much it can completely transform your entire makeup look, but I’m really fussy with liquid liners.
I hate liquid eyeliner nibs that are too firm, formulas that aren’t pigmented enough, or are too runny, so I was intrigued to see what the formula of this liner would be like.
“An easy-to-apply, one-sided liquid liner with a super thin 0.03mm brush tip that deposits a continuous amount of product for a precise, one swipe application! Perfect for everyone, from beginners to graphic liner pros! The superfine, firm-but-flexible brush tip gives you maximum control & the high-pigment, extremely black formula instantly dries matte and won’t budge or flake (but is easy to remove!).“
The Huda Beauty Life Liner Precision Liquid Liner has launched in just one shade, and it’s an intense, matte black shade. This liner is a black thin tube, with an angular lid, and the packaging complements their existing Life Liner Dual-Ended Eyeliner they already have as part of their makeup range.
The nib on the Huda Beauty Life Liner Precision Liquid Liner couldn’t be more precise. It’s a super sharp brush tip applicator, which has the perfect point. The brush fibres mean it’s effortless when gliding over the contours of your eyelids, and you can create winged flicks even more effortlessly.
As it’s a brush nib, it’s too firm at all, and you can get a fine line with light pressure, or a thicker and bolder line by applying a little more pressure to splay the brush fibres just slightly, and I like that you have the choice of thin or thick lines.
The formula of the Huda Beauty Life Liner Precision Liquid Liner is extremely black and matte, and the pen does need to be shaken before use, to ensure you achieve a fully opaque liner, like most liquid liners.
As you can see from the swatches, you can get a fine line, or a thicker bolder line, and they’re all opaque. The lines of my hand show in some of the lines, but it’s my skin’s texture, and nothing to do with the formula.
On my eyelids, it’s fully opaque and flawless, and it doesn’t even smudge or run even with watery eyes, which really impressed me. I have watery sensitive eyes, and it can make eyeliners run into the corners of my eyes, but I’ve never had that issue when wearing the Huda Beauty Life Liner Precision Liquid Liner – it’s a great liquid liner, and one I would 100% repurchase.
