It’s been a few months since Hourglass launched a new product, and they’ve revealed their newest launch; the new Hourglass Unlocked Instant Extensions Mascara, which has launched right here.
Before this mascara, their last launches were their Setting Spray and Eyeshadow Primer, so it’s exciting to see something new from the brand and the sneak peeks they’ve shared on their Instagram page look very promising.
Hourglass Unlocked Instant Extensions Mascara
The Hourglass Unlocked Instant Extensions Mascara has launched today via the Hourglass website right here. It will then filter through to the Hourglass stockists like Cult Beauty, Sephora, Nordstrom soon after.
The Hourglass Unlocked Instant Extensions Mascara is described as;
“The look of lash extensions in an instant. This mascara is the ultimate formula for when more is more: more definition, more lift and more length to transform lashes with impossibly real results. Using film-forming technology, it coats each lash in lightweight fibers that lock in place for a high-impact, fanned-out finish and smudge-proof wear. ” – Hourglass

The mascara comes in a luxe gold, metallic tube which looks so sleek and beautiful. The wand is an amazing narrow wand with synthetic plastic bristles which taper towards the end. The tip of the brush has tiny little bristles for helping you to coat your bottom lashes.
I did think that the formula could perhaps contain fibers due to the inclusion of extensions within the product’s name. However, it looks like it’s ‘film forming technology’ and is a tubing mascara rather than containing fibres to coat the lashes.
Directions
- Starting at the base of the lashes, pull mascara brush straight through from root to tip.
- One application provides an instant effect, but additional coats add intense definition, length and lift.
- For a more dramatic lengthening effect, use the Hourglass Lash Curler before applying mascara.
- To remove, splash warm water onto eyes.
- Gently use fingers to slide mascara tubes from the lashes.
We also know that the Hourglass Unlocked Instant Extensions Mascara is going to be part of a whole Hourglass Unlocked Collection which I’m personally super excited about.

It’s definitely a permanent collection, and I think it’s perhaps going to be a more glam, potentially edgier collection of products compared to the main Hourglass product range.
