Hourglass has been teasing the Hourglass Cosmetics Curator Eyeshadow Collection for weeks now, and it’s finally time for the collection to launch.
Ever since the brand pledged to be 100% vegan, they’ve been gradually reformulating products, but this new collection is a first for the brand.

Hourglass Cosmetics Curator Eyeshadow Collection
“A customizable, vegan eyeshadow collection featuring 40 pressed powder shades across 4 finishes achieving a limitless range of looks.
The highly-pigmented shadows are formulated from talc-free, finely-milled powders for a smooth, easily blendable texture and comfortable, non-drying wear. Designed to be used with Curator Refillable Palettes to reduce waste over time. Palettes sold separately. “
The Hourglass Cosmetics Curator Eyeshadow Collection consists of 40 single, individual eyeshadows, each of which is magnetic and is designed to be used within one of the Hourglass Curator Eyeshadow Palettes.
Hourglass has created multiple different sizes of their Creator Palette, to house different numbers of eyeshadows. It looks like there’s a three pan palette, five pan palettes and also a single pan compact, and all of the compacts are gold metal tins, which are said to be sustainable.
The Hourglass Cosmetics Curator Eyeshadow Collection features four different finishes;
- MATTE: Rich, velvet matte finish that delivers intense payoff in one swipe.
- SATIN: Creamy satin finish with a subtle luminosity.
- METALLIC: Intense color with a molten-metal effect.
- SHIMMER: Multidimensional, reflective pearlescent finish.

The Hourglass Cosmetics Curator Eyeshadow Collection is undoubtedly beautiful. There are some really stunning shades. These solo shadows are expensive, though, as they’re $29 for one single shadow.
So to fill a five-pan palette, it would be $145 which is more money than a Natasha Denona Palette, and you’d get a lot more shadows for your money. My personal favourite shades would have to be Pry, Bid or Elm, and I’m looking forward to seeing reviews to get an idea on how impressive they are.
