The second half of 2020 have been all about the epic collaborations, and the Hipdot x My Chemical Romance Collection has been announced today, and could possibly be the most exciting brand collaboration all year.
I thought the Revolution x The Nightmare Before Christmas and ColourPop x Hocus Pocus collections would take some beating, but My Chemical Romance are one of my favourite brands, so I’m very excited they’re collaborating with a beauty brand!
Hipdot x My Chemical Romance Collection
I discovered My Chemical Romance in 2004, and I’ve loved them ever since, and to be completely honest, I never even imagined they’d collaborate on a beauty collection. It’s so fun and unique for a collab, and I cannot wait to see swatches of everything!
Saying that, it does kinda make sense that they would collaborate with a beauty brand, especially for a smokey makeup themed collection like the band wore in many of their videos, and album covers.
Hipdot have announced that they have a surprise for those who purchase something from the Hipdot x My Chemical Romance collection within the first 72hrs of the collection launching – which is very intriguing!
The first product within the Hipdot x My Chemical Romance Collection is the Hipdot x My Chemical Romance Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge Eye Shadow Palette which is $24 and has cardboard packaging, and contains nine shades.
The cover of this palette features artwork from the Three Cheers album, and the pans of the shades all have a raised design on them, with the names of the shades written in red foil. It looks like it’s a purely matte finish palette, apart from the last pan which is a metallic silver shimmer.
Next up in the collab is the Hipdot x My Chemical Romance Retractable Brush which is $12, and features black and red bristles and a retractable design making it ideal for throwing in your makeup bag.
No My Chemical Romance collection would be complete without an eyeliner, and the Hipdot x My Chemical Romance Double-Ended Eye Liner is $12 making it super affordable. Some brands really hike the prices for special collaborations, but Hipdot haven’t with this collaboration.
It is a limited edition collection launching tomorrow 10th December on the Hipdot website, and I’ll be sure to update this post once further information is shared, but I am so, so excited!
