It’s official; Gwen Stefani GXVE Beauty is happening. Lots of celebrities and artists are creating their own beauty ranges, and some get kinda groaned at within the beauty community.
However, Gwen Stefani having her own makeup brand totally makes sense, as her makeup look is synonymous, and she had a super successful collab with Urban Decay back in 2015.
Well, @trendmood1 has given us an exclusive look at the brand, and the products which will be launching on the 3rd of March, so keep on reading to find out more…
“GXVE (/giv/) BY GWEN STEFANI is amped up color—cleanly formulated—with performance that won’t miss a beat. For Gwen, makeup is unleashing creativity and sharing inspiration with a dialed-in community. GXVE is a lineup of elevated classics inspired by her signature looks. Made for any role you want to play.“
Gwen Stefani has been teasing her Gwen Stefani GXVE Beauty brand for some time, and it’s amazing how well received the brand has been on social media.
I’ve seen nothing but positivity, and the branding, and products are so spot on for her brand, and her iconic look. Let’s find out more about the brand…
The name is unique, and is spelt GXVE, but it is pronounced like the word give, so it’s Give Beauty. All of the lettering has a fun gothic vibe, and it’s on point with being Gwen’s aesthetic.
When you think of Gwen Stefani’s signature makeup look, you think of a bright red lip and winged eyeliner. Her makeup hasn’t changed very much since her No Doubt days.
So it makes perfect sense that the Gwen Stefani GXVE Beauty brand is launching with not one, but three red lipsticks.
The three Gwen Stefani GXVE Beauty lipsticks on offer are;
- GXVE Beauty I’m Still Here Lightweight Longwear Matte Lipstick in Original Recipe $24
- GXVE Beauty Original Me High Performance Matte Lipstick in Original Recipe $26
- GXVE Beauty Anaheim SHine High Performance Satin Lipstick in Original Recipe $26
All three of these lipsticks are in the shade Original Recipe, which is a bright red shade, but with three different formulas, which is great as you can choose the formula you prefer.
With there being a lightweight matte lipstick, an intense matte lipstick, and then a glossy satin lipstick too, all of which are Gwen’s signature red shade, but one would assume we’ll see more shades launch in the future.
How beautiful are these photos Sophie (Trendmood) has taken? She’s done an amazing job at showing the true colours of all of the products, and showcasing the packaging, and I’ll be excited to see Sophie share swatches on her Instagram account of the products in the coming days.
The Gwen Stefani GXVE Beauty is launching with more than just lipsticks, with products for the eyes, complexion and brows too.
There’s a pencil eyeliner in two shades, there are eyeshadow quads in four different colour variations, a precise brow pencil in seven shades, and a more dramatic brow pencil in the same seven shades. Lastly, there’s a face primer too.
First of the eye products is the Gwen Stefani GXVE Beauty Line It Up 24Hr Pencil Eyeliner, which is $21 and will be available in two shades; Spider Webs (a matte black) and Bath Water (a metallic blue).
They’re pencil eyeliners with a waterproof, smudge-proof and transfer-proof gel formula, with a creamy consistency that glides smoothly across the eyes, allowing you to blend them out seamlessly.
The Gwen Stefani GXVE Beauty Eye See In Color Multi Dimensional Eyeshadow Quads contain four square shaped pans within metallic compacts, and they’re each $28, and claim to offer different finishes.
You can choose from the four following quads;
We can see two of the quads, and one appears to be completely matte with variations of brown neutrals, and the other we can see contains another neutral colour story, with three mattes, and a matte black containing lots of silver sparkle.
Some will see the quads as being boring, but they’re very Gwen Stefani, which is the whole point of her brand, and they look like they’d be beautiful for all ages and skintones.
If you remember (or still own like I do) the Gwen Stefani x Urban Decay Palette, all of these shades featured in that palette, but I would guess there’ll be more colourful colour stories coming soon.
