Guerlain know how to make beautiful powders, and their new Guerlain Terracotta Nude Powder looks absolutely stunning and it claims to be universal.
It’s always a little risky when a brand labels a product like a powder, as being universal as they very rarely are universal unless it’s a white coloured translucent powder.
The Guerlain Terracotta powders are one of their most iconic products, and they’re always launching new shades and limited edition versions, but the Guerlain Terracotta Nude Powder is just one of their spring launches for 2020.
Guerlain Terracotta Nude Powder
The Guerlain Terracotta Nude Powder is a delicate and seamless veil that illuminates the complexion. With a lightweight texture that smooths the skin and instantly revives its glow with a quick stroke of the brush for a naturally warmed bare-skin effect, that is unique to each woman.
It comes in a universal shade that adapts to any skin tone with a chameleon ingredient: Gemnude Light. Its exclusive and sheer shade blends naturally with any skin colouring to even out the complexion and bring out the natural beauty of all skin tones.
Ingredients
A true chameleon, Gemnude Light, the ingredient at the heart of the formula, is specially calibrated to blend naturally with any skin colouring. Its exclusive universal shade evens out the complexion and wraps it in a luminous veil to bring out the natural beauty of all skin tones.
Enriched with moisturising active ingredients, the formula preserves the skin’s natural moisturisation and ensures long-lasting comfort.
Flakes powders form an ultra-fine film that seamlessly hugs facial contours and respects the natural finish of each skin type for steak-free application.
The promise of a naturally glowing complexion all year long.
Directions
To naturally illuminate and warm the entire face, try the Guerlain secret: trace a “3” on the skin.
Apply the nude glow powder with a brush, tracing a “3” on each side of the face, from the forehead to the cheekbones, from the cheekbones to the chin, finishing with a stroke down the neck.
Then lightly brush down the centre of the face from the forehead to the chin.
The Guerlain Terracotta Nude Powder is £38 and contains 10g of product, in a beautiful brown domed compact. Guerlain always have really beautiful compacts, but this compact is particularly pretty, with a striped design on the powder.
Looking at the before and after shots, the powder does look like it’s added colour to the cheeks of both models, so I’m really sceptical on how universal this powder this.
The Guerlain Terracotta Nude Powder looks really beautiful, but it could be worth swatching at a Guerlain counter to check how it works on your skintone, but they have lots of different Terracotta powders which might be a better shade match.
