I have another beauty box for you today, and it’s the Glossybox Magical Masquerade October 2021 Beauty Box. Beauty box brands tend to do a themed box for October and Halloween, and this month’s Glossybox carries a Magical Masquerade theme to tie into the whole fancy dress vibe of Halloween, and the actual box design is stunning.
Glossybox Magical Masquerade October 2021 Beauty Box
“Unleash your alter-ego with our mysterious and alluring ‘Secret’ edition or be your authentic self with our captivating ‘Truth’ edit.“
For October, Glossybox have designed two different versions of the Glossybox Magical Masquerade themed box, with a “The Secret” box and also “The Truth” box.
The secret themed box has a red foil design, whereas the truth themed box is silver, and I have The Truth box to show you today. Each box comes with an intricate masquerade mask, with little holes, so you can add elastic to it, so it can be worn, which is a cute extra to the box, and ties into the theme well too.
Included within the Glossybox Magical Masquerade October 2021 Beauty Box are five products, and the box is £13.25 each month, and it’s a rolling subscription, allowing you to cancel the subscription at any point. So let’s take a look at the products inside the box…
The first product in the box is the This Works Stress Check Clean Hands Antibacterial Gel 60ml, which is a disappointing addition to the box. The products in this box are, according to Glossybox “cleverly picked to ensure you’re prepped and ready to party the evening away. “
Now, I don’t know what kind of parties you’ve been to, but I can’t say hand sanitiser has ever featured in my get ready process.
We’ve had hand sanitiser included in a Lookfantastic box recently, but it was an extra product. So for Glossybox to include a hand sanitiser as one of the five “beauty” products is really disappointing.
Next up in the Glossybox Magical Masquerade October 2021 Beauty Box, is the Anatomicals Boob Tube Grab Your Melons Body Lotion, and it’s a 50ml size worth £1.07, and is said to be a melon scented body lotion.
The next three products are definitely the better products in the box, with the first being the Saint Luxe Setting Spray 75ml, worth $25.
I’ve never heard of this brand before, but it’s described as being a lightweight, micro fine setting mist which helps your skin retain moisture and set your makeup with a glow finish.
It’s also said to be formulated with active ingredients like Purslane and Hyaluronic Acid which help accelerate the healing of damaged skin and instantly hydrates leaving a dewy finish.
The Glossybox Magical Masquerade October 2021 Beauty Box next features the Joséphine Cosmetics Lip / Power Bold Matte Liquid Lipstick, in the shade Tiphaine, and is worth £21.80.
Again, this is a brand I’ve never come across before, but this is a full-sized velvet matte liquid lipstick in the perfect bright red shade. It looks like a beautiful product, and the packaging is so sleek.
The very last item in the Glossybox Magical Masquerade October 2021 Beauty Box is another makeup product, and it’s the Eyeko Spotlight Highlighter Pencil, in the shade Champagne, which is worth £15.
This is a chunky wooden pencil, designed to be applied to your brow bones for an illuminated, lifted look, or can be applied to the inner corners of the eye for a brightening effect.
So, that’s everything inside the Glossybox Magical Masquerade Beauty Box for this month. I think the hand sanitiser and £1 mini body lotion were a little lacklustre, but the three full-sized makeup products certainly made up for it, and the box is available right now.
