The Glossier Trench Ultralip Lipstick wasn’t a shade which was on my radar. However, Olivia Rodrigo shared a video of her wearing Trench, and it looked so pretty on her, so naturally, I had to add it to my collection. I’ve already shared a review of the Portrait shade, and keep on reading to find out all about the beauty that is, Trench.
Glossier Trench Ultralip Lipstick
“The rich moisture of a balm, the sheen of a gloss, and the buildable color of a lip tint, without the hassle of layering multiple products—it’s one tube, one step, one… Ultralip!“
The Glossier Ultralip Lipsticks collection were designed to have a balmy formula, which is said to feel luxe and comfortable on the lips. Glossier even describe the comfort as being ‘like pulling on a buttery-soft, well-loved cashmere sweater’ – and who doesn’t want that for their lips?
The formula of the Ultralip Lipsticks are said to be immediately cocooning with smoothing shine and colour, and the exclusive formula is enriched with a blend of 4 molecular weights of hydrating Hyaluronic Acid, which draws in and holds onto moisture like a magnet for revitalized lips.
Glossier claim the Ultralip Lipsticks have buildable, pigmented colour which can be applied in one swipe for sheer coverage, and then two-to-three times for a bolder look, so I included swatches of both, so you could see that they are buildable.
The Glossier Trench Ultralip Lipstick is described as being a toffee brown, and it looked so deep on the Glossier website. I’d never have considered picking the shade up if I hadn’t seen it on the lips in Olivia’s video.
It’s a lot more nude and muted than it looks on the Glossier website, and it’s the perfect brown toned nude. It looks pretty on no-makeup days, and a full face, and I can’t rave about the comfortable, hydrating and balmy formula of the Ultralip Lipsticks enough.
