Glossier announced the launch of the Glossier Hand Cream today, and it’s a launch that they didn’t preview before it launched which is rare for the brand.
Usually before a product officially launches, Glossier like to preview the product or make some not-so-subtle hints to generate some hype ahead of the launch, but the Glossier Hand Cream has surprised everyone – in a good way of course.
Glossier Hand Cream
During the current global crisis, many brands are stepping up to create hand creams and hand sanitisers. I don’t know about you, but I’m washing my hands an insane amount everyday and my hands have never been so dry.
So I’m totally here for all of these new hand creams launching right now. I particularly love that the Glossier Hand Cream has been designed to have a flip top cap for one handed application which is genius.
Described as being a supercharged moisture in a palm-sized pod with sleek curves and 360º squeeze. Designed to contain fast-absorbing, nutrient-rich moisturisers (such as meadowfoam seed oil and coconut fruit extract) nourish the hands without leaving them feeling greasy.
Glossier Hand Cream Key Ingredients
Glycofilm Pollustop: Key ingredient that helps form a physical film (or matrix) against skin-stressors.
Botanical Blend: Antioxidant-rich extracts of Rosemary Leaf, Echinacea, Sunflower, and Rice Bran soothe and soften.
Fermented Coconut Fruit Extract: Optimized with nutrients for thirsty skin, fermented for better absorption.
Meadowfoam Seed Oil: Rich in fatty acids to help lock in moisture.
The formula uses a ‘second skin’ matrix which holds moisture in, and keeps skin-stressors out. Glossier chose to scent the hand cream with the ‘A Glossier You’ fragrance, but reimagined for the hands, in that it wears closer, with an emphasis on the fresh, clean notes.

Glossier have created an ergonomic pack designed for on the go application, with a click-to-close cap to secure against accidental spills in the bottom of your handbag. With a really cute pastel pink packaging design, with a raised Glossier logo.
I wish more hand creams had packaging like this, as the last thing you want to do after applying hand cream, whilst it’s still absorbing, is having to faff about with screw lids and caps, and it’s available right now for £16 / $18.
