The Glossier Birthday Balm DotCom had been on my Glossier wishlist for a long, long time, and I finally decided to purchase it when I was ordering the full size of the divine Glossier You Eau de Parfum.
I’ve heard so many amazing things about the Glossier Balm DotCom salves, and I was curious to see if they’re worth the hype, or not? Keep on reading to find out more…..
Glossier Birthday Balm DotCom
The Balm DotCom is described as being a hydrating lip balm packed with antioxidants and natural emollients to nourish dry, chafed skin—in original or other fun flavours.
The Glossier Birthday Balm DotCom is just one of the flavours on offer, there’s also Original which is fragrance free, Rose, Birthday, Cherry, Mint, Coconut, Mango and Berry. Some of the flavours are tinted too, but I didn’t want a tinted version, although they do look pretty.
Glossier Birthday Balm DotCom is £10, and contains 15ml / 0.5 fl.oz of product within a metallic tube, and a screw on lid.
The balm has a salve-like consistency, which is very thick, and you have to squeeze the tube very hard to get the product out, but I guess as the temperatures get warmer, the balm will become softer and easy to squeeze out.
This Glossier Birthday Balm DotCom is a clear balm, and it contains very subtle shimmer. The shimmer isn’t very noticeable on the lips, but it is there, and once the balm has worn away, the shimmer lingers on the lips.
It smells incredible and so authentic, just like a birthday cake, and it does an amazing job at intensively hydrating the lips. As it is such a thick balm, I tend to prefer applying at night before bed, and in the morning, there’s still balm on the lips.
If you have dry lips, you need to try one of these balms, as I can’t believe how intensively hydrating they are. It’s hydrating enough that you don’t need to use it every day which is rare for a lip balm, as results tend to be shortlived, but the Glossier Birthday Balm DotCom has become my go-to whenever my lips need an intensive hit of hydration.
