. Before trying the body milks, I hadn’t tried anything from Fourth Ray Beauty which is crazy considering how much I love ColourPop.
The Fourth Ray Beauty Body Milks aren’t a new product. They’ve been around for some time, however, Fourth Ray Beauty introduced a new mini size of the four different scents at the start of the year.
I love a scented body lotion, and I didn’t want to order one of the full size bottles incase the UK customs removed the bottle from my order.
The UK customs are very strict on liquids, so I thought a mini size (or two) would be ideal as they’d be less likely to be removed on arrival in the UK, and I wouldn’t have lost too much money if they were removed too.
The Fourth Ray Beauty Coconut Body Milk is one of four different scents. There’s also White Peach, Avocado and Pink Grapefruit. The mini sizes are $10 each, whilst the full size versions are $18. In terms of sizes, the mini bottles contain 3.3 fl.oz and the full size has 9.7 fl.oz, so there’s a big difference.
I adore coconut anything, so the Fourth Ray Beauty Coconut Body Milk had to be mine, alongside White Peach. I’ll dedicate a post to the White Peach, but the Fourth Ray Beauty Coconut Body Milk is definitely my favourite from the two.
The milk is packaged within a milk carton type box, and within a clear plastic bottle. The bottle is very hard plastic, so you can’t squeeze the bottle to get the milk out, but thankfully the Fourth Ray Beauty Coconut Body Milk has a very thin, runny consistency, so it just pours straight out of the water.
The ‘milk’ name is very fitting for the consistency of the lotion. It’s definitely not as thin as milk, but it’s considerably thinner than a body lotion. You just tip the bottle upside down, and the milk pours out into your hand for you to massage into the skin.
Due to how thin and runny the formula is, it takes seconds and very little effort to apply. It absorbs instantly and feels so cooling and refreshing on application due to the high water content. It’s a lightweight lotion which offers a decent amount of hydration, but I still need to apply the Fourth Ray Beauty Coconut Body Milk daily.
It’s ideal, now we’re starting the warmer months of the year, but for winter, my dry skin would need something a little richer.
I would love ColourPop/ Fourth Ray to make launch some body butters next in some really delicious scents, for when our skin is in need of a more intense hydration boost, but for now I’m very happy with my Fourth Ray Beauty Coconut Body Milk.
