There’s big exciting beauty news today, it’s official… Fenty Skin is the newest brand created by Rihanna. The Fenty brand has grown considerably over the years with Fenty Beauty, Savage x Fenty, FENTY and then now Fenty Skin.
Fenty Skin isn’t something that’s been impulsively cooked up. The Fenty team acquired the Fenty Skin Twitter handle in April 2019, so it’s been in the works for well over a year. The launch may have even been pushed back a little with the global crisis too.
The Fenty Skin is said to be the new culture of skincare. We all know Rihanna and Fenty Beauty changed the makeup industry with their launch, with their incredible inclusive shade ranges from the very start.
With many brands like Flesh by Revlon trying to emulate their success and inclusivity, but failing in the process. Brands like Revolution have done a great job with their inclusive shade ranges, but it was Fenty that really made the first fully inclusive product range for everyone.
Fenty Skin is launching on the 31st of July, and will be available exclusively at FentySkin.com. I have a feeling the products will all launch on the Fenty Skin website initially, and they’ll then filter out to the Fenty Beauty stockists such as Sephora, Harvey Nichols and Boots.
I’m not entirely sure if their website will offer international shipping, so it makes sense if the products will be available from other Fenty stockists. The main Fenty website does ship internationally, but with skincare and liquids, there are more stringent postage restrictions but I’ll update this post as soon as I find out for sure.
So what do we know about the new skincare brand so far? The brand has uploaded a short video of Rihanna using three products from the range, which look to be a cream cleanser that appears to lather beautifully in to a rich foam. There’s a moisturiser in a pump bottle, and then possibly an essence too which Rihanna pushed into her skin.
As soon as I have any more information, I’ll update this post straight away but I can’t wait to see what’s in store for the new skincare brand.
