Fenty Beauty Pro Filtr Instant Retouch Concealer Review / Swatches

The Fenty Beauty Pro Filtr Instant Retouch Concealer is a concealer I wanted to try for a long time, but for a long time, the palest shade (shade 100) was permanently out of stock in the UK.

I ended up purchasing mine via the Fenty Beauty website direct, when they had a gift with purchase deal available, and I was so happy to finally try it and see what the formula and coverage was actually like.

What Is The Fenty Beauty Pro Filtr Instant Retouch Concealer?

Whether you’re hiding bags and blemishes or hangovers and bad decisions, your secret’s safe with Pro Filt’r Instant Retouch Concealer.

The full coverage cure to living life to the fullest, Pro Filt’r is the closest thing to retouching your skin in reality. This creamy, light-as-air, soft matte concealer easily builds to full coverage, instantly brightening under eyes, concealing blemishes and dark spots, and reducing redness.

The Fenty Beauty Pro Filtr Instant Retouch Concealer is $28 / £21, and contains 0.27 oz/ 8 mL of product. The packaging is very minimalistic, with a frosted, clear plastic tube, a beige lid, and a flat, narrow doefoot applicator.

Fenty Beauty Pro Filtr Instant Retouch Concealer is available in 50 shades, which is just amazing. So many brands just don’t even try to be inclusive these days, but Fenty Beauty always caters for every skintone, and undertone, for every complexion product they launch.

The 50 shades are broken down into four shade categories, with light, medium, tan and deep. As mentioned at the start of my post, I bought shade 100, which the brand describes as being for very fair skin with neutral undertones.

Although, I don’t find shade 100 to be neutral in tone. For me, it’s very much a cool toned shade, which couldn’t be more perfect for my very pale, cool toned skin. It’s literally my perfect shade, so I’m very happy the undertone is actually cool and very pink.

I wasn’t sure how the formula would work for me, as it has a ‘soft matte’ finish, but it’s just beautiful. It’s remarkably lightweight, but has buildable coverage, where you can apply a sheer layer, or layer up for full coverage. It really does deliver on the claims to be ‘crease proof’ – which is a claim many brands make with their concealers, and it’s very rare that they are.

My favorite thing about the Fenty Beauty Pro Filtr Instant Retouch Concealer, is how blurring it is on the skin. My photo above does a good job at showing that, for once, and you can see how it blurs the tiny lines of my hand. It does exactly that on the face, too, without emphasizing texture or peach fuzz.

I’m pretty fussy when it comes to concealer, as my skin is so dry. So many concealers cling to dry patches, and I end up looking like a lizard, but this concealer has become one of my all-time favorites. It lasts for a good four hours, before it starts to fade noticeably, and works well when blended over the top (or under) foundation.

I would so love Fenty to launch a hydrating version of this concealer, as it’d be amazing. Loving this concealer, has made me want to try all of the other Fenty complexion products – it’s such a good concealer!
