Directions
Shake well. Smooth the lightweight, moisturizing liquid makeup over skin. Start at center of face and blend outward.
To select your shade, choose your skin’s intensity level (from ultra light to very deep) and undertone (cool, neutral or warm).
The Estee Lauder Futurist Hydra Rescue Foundation is £36 and contains 35ml, working out at almost £1 per 1ml. The foundation is packaged within a squeezy, plastic tube with a gold metallic lid, and a gold metallic pump too.
The packaging looks so luxe, and I love that it comes with a pump. One of the things I never liked about the Double Wear Foundation was the lack of pump, so I’m pleased they’re including them with their newer base launches.
Estee Lauder Futurist Hydra Rescue Foundation is only available in twenty shades which is quite a poor shade range for a higher end makeup brand. The shades are divided into light, medium and deep but the range could definitely do with more fair and deep shades as there’s a lot of medium shades.

Estee Lauder have included a number of photos showing the Estee Lauder Futurist Hydra Rescue Foundation before and afters, and they don’t look as if they’ve been touched up or filtered which I definitely appreciate.
More brands are starting to use untouched images for their campaigns and it’s such a refreshing change, and would definitely make me more likely to try a product if I can see a true before and after, without the skin being blurred or perfected, as it’s so misleading, especially with a product like foundation.
It’s great that this new Estee Lauder Futurist Hydra Rescue Foundation boasts an SPF of 45, which is impressively high for a base product. Most brand tend to stick to SPF20 or 30 max, but 45 is really decent, and just emphasises that the product has been created to offer both coverage and care.
I don’t think I’d be able to find a shade match unfortunately which is a shame, as the formula sounds exactly like what I look for in a foundation. But I’m still tempted, even if I have to use some sort of lightening drops as the formula sounds so, so good and I’ve only read rave reviews.
